A new email from code pink. They are having a contest on how you move Bush's book to the crime section of the book store. Take a picture and send it to the URL below. Beautiful idea!!

Where Do You Think Bush's Memoir Belongs?
War criminal George W. Bush's new memoir, Decision Points, is scheduled to hit the shelves of bookstores across the country on November 9th. The Liar-in-Chief who brought us mythical "weapons of mass destruction" claims to be setting the record straight.

Well, we think it's time to set the record straight too. We think Bush's book belongs in the Crime section and we plan to put it in its place this week. Join us in moving Bush's memoir to the bookstore section it belongs to... Fiction, Fantasy, Crime, you decide!

Tell us where you think Bush's book belongs below and then when you're at your local bookstore, quietly move copies of Bush's book to the section where you think they belong. If you find Bush's book being sold in other types of stores in your community, tell us where you think they belong in those stores too (the toilet paper aisle, perhaps).

Then, to participate in the "Where's W's Book?" Contest, simply take a photo of where you've placed the books and upload it to our Flickr group by clicking here.

Be sure to leave our "The Real Decision Points" bookmark inside a few copies of the book too! Just download, print, cut and go!

Winners of the contest will receive some great prizes including a pack of our War Criminals playing cards.

Here is the bookmark for the books.

Wherever it is placed - of course it really should be 'upside down'... :p (IIRC, that IS how GWB likes to read?)

Fiction? Fantasy? Comedy section? True Crime?

He's been on a lot of shows trying to sell his book. Does anyone know how much $$ he received in advance for it?

Reporters have asked him questions and he responds by "read the book". He admits approving waterboarding which is torture and against the Geneva Convention and international law. He incriminated himself. Admitting his me may now be allowed in other countries as they would find him a war criminal. As for Cheney and his part, I suspect his traveling days are over.

I agree he's a war criminal.

This is a cute idea in sending a message, but in practicality I would discourage it. The people it would most bother is the bookstore's employees - who are probably just trying to get through their day and don't need the extra frustration or to be put into an awkward situation.

Yeah, the code pink kooks tried to arrest Cheney at a speaking engagement. Not very successful. They are at least, amusing to watch.

I always thought this relocating of books was very childish.

The circular file, file 13 aka the trash.

I have to say, the writing is execrable.

The former chief executive proclaimed yesterday that his book was written with candor and openness - unlike his administration. :^o

On the NY Times Best Seller List.. where I"m sure it will end up faily soon.. I plan to read it..
But will get it from the library.

Let's organize.

I'll go out and rent a full-size Dumpster.

There's room in one for THOUSANDS of copies of the book.

But, that would mean buying thousands of copies of the book, and he'd make a lot of money. Never mind.

In the:

Bin
Dumpster
Shredder

John Howard (aus ex pm) released a book, why cant they just go into hiding!

Perhaps all his RNC buddies will obligingly purchase a copy ensuring at least one week on the
NYT Best Seller List.

By the way, don't you mean you'll get it from the libary?

Code Pink are their own worst enemies at least if they had hoped to damage sales of this book, I can't think of anything they could have done that would would do more to make it sell no matter how bad the book or the subject matter. In the book selling world even bad publicity is good publicity. All campaigns like this do is annoy innocent book store staffs.
