  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

where is Condoleezza Rice

Re: where is condaliza rice

Hopefully, we won't have to wait THAT long...!
Hopefully? Do you prefer your president makes bad his work?

And please, don't misunderstand me. I think that he is offering a more pleasant imagen instead of a real change (like many other politics leaders). I'm not one of the many fans he has in all the world.

And said this, either he isn't making look G.W. Bush better.

I wasn't happy with Bush's performance in office, either,
but I believe that before Obama's first term is over,
most Americans will be remembering the years of George W. Bush as the good old days...

If you disregard that she's 'a woman' and 'black' and cut through the froth, what did she do that dozens of other politicians wouldn't have achieved?

I liked Madeline Albright much better. (Not that she got very far with the Palestinians either).

you're kinda missing my point. i said she's a very intelligent, capable woman with an impressive resume. i never said she was the greatest thing ever churned out by a democracy.

you can argue all you want, but she's got a hell of a CV and she's extremely capable.

You're echoing what the newsreader said, not processing the information.

I hear she teaching college and rewriting the Bush years as book of fiction.

Shhh. Don't ask; don't tell.

I always thought that Condi and Dubya were boinking each other. Something about how they looked at each other.

I'll bet she strapped it on and gave it to him real good. "Punish me mama. Georgie's been a very bad president."

And that is unjust, since the main problem is the economic crisis that it's a consequence of the previous governments. Probably other government wouldn't have done something different about it, either.

But we were talking about incompetent politicians. Well, maybe Obama is one, but at least you have to recognize that the time when he has arrived it's very difficult. We would need exceptional politicians, but where they are?

You can add to the list the current spanish goverment, but the really bad thing is that the other political group wouldn't do things better.

Shes filming a new movie.

LOL that was awesome!! It's funny because it's true.

She was very intelligent book-smarts wise. I bet she could study the hell out of a textbook, and do very well on her tests. I have no doubt whatsever that she can carry on an intelligent discussion at cocktail parties, and probably makes a bang-up professor.

However, she accomplished absolutely zip as Sec State, and was completely unable to manage her job as National Sec Advisor. She was smart only about what she had studied, and Soreknees is right in saying that was the Cold War, which was over.

I always hated the fact that she was so useless, as her personal story (powerful intelligent female from the deep south raised during the civil-rights era) was have otherwise been so inspiring. I really wanted her to succeed...but she was useless.

I will give her this, I don't think she was as evil as some of the others; Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Ashcroft or Gonzales. I think someday we'll look back on those days the same way we view Nixon and Kissinger, only Nixon and Kissinger actually accomplished a few things. The last bunch's saving grace was their evil was tempered by incredible incompetence, and the damage they would have done would have been far worse if they could have pulled their heads out of their asses.

I would bet a million bucks she and W were getting it on though. Just a hunch.

Condi is Obama in drag. :rotflmao: Since he is now in the public eye 24/7, no time for Condi. :(

I do wish Hillary could pull off that 'Triumph of the Will' look. Hillary is more competent but looks like she's headed to a PTA meeting, Condi was useless but looked like she was going to throw you to the floor and grind those boots into your balls. Which god knows prolly went on in the Oval Office enough.

Except for that one little tiny slip-up thingy of being the NATIONAL SECURITY ADVISER immediately before and during the WORST TERRORIST ATTACK ON AMERICAN SOIL and having a pile of evidence in front of her and BEING TOLD that a MAJOR, SPECTACULAR ATTACK was IMMINENT yet doing NOTHING and the result was the death of 3,000 innocent Americans. Other than that little boo-boo, yeah she was competent...

Supposedly it's true that George W. Bush received a Presidential Daily Brief in August 2001 that was headlined, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S," but the report gave no specifics as to when, where, and how. Rice and other administration officials have long maintained that no one could have predicted that terrorists would hijack a plane and try to use it as a weapon.

Even the 9/11 Commission Report concluded that the information the government had available to them at the time was so generalized, there was nothing specific to which anyone could act upon.

Said Condoleeza Rice at a press conference after the 9/11 attacks, "I don't think anybody could have predicted . . . that they would try to use an airplane as a missile, a hijacked airplane as a missile."

Harke the Boeotarch,

Whether you were joking or not, how are you going to compare her to Mammy Two Shoes, an unbelievably racist depiction of black women? I wasn't a supporter of Rice, nor do I like pulling the race card, but what you wrote was very offensive.

This despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, including previous foiled attacks that included using airplanes as weapons, counter-terrorism role playing scenarios that explored the possibility of terrorists using planes to attack the towers and the pentagon, and an anti-terrorism report that actually depicted a plane flying into the world trade center on its cover.

Which makes them not just incompetent, but bald-faced liars.
