He was frequently bemoaning how slow the forum has become a while back. Maybe he's just taking a break.
I’m hoping it’s just a dodgy laptop. He’s been having problems with it for awhile. I’ve not heard from him at all.
I thought he meant slow in the sense of not as many people or posts
Not to worry. People take breaks all the time. No one seems to give a damn if I'm missing a few weeks.
We do. You aren't here so you don't know.
I stand corrected. Anyway, I do think Cormac is busy and will drop by soon enough.
Some of us notice whenever someone is 'quiet'.
But we always hope that it is because you are more gainfully occupied that the avatar is on hiatus.
I am worried though...that our Cormac's past has caught up with him and he is:
- being held by pirates on a ship off the Atlantic coast of Scotland.
- being held in a black ops site in Ontario being bedeviled by Beavers until he he admits that he loves Canada
- being held held until they dig up his entire backyard and only come up with voodoo dolls soaked in Maple syrup.
- being railed relentlessly and with his consent by BBC
- being railed relentlessly and without his express written consent by BBC
- looking at caravans in Northumberland
- looking at sheep in the highlands.
I would just point out to all, that given the 'rich' history we have shared over the years, the silence worries me and I will gladly rescue and give aid and comfort to our Cormac in the igloo we call home here in Canuckistan im order to see him restored to Splendour.
And otherwise, if he emails me his Contact info, I would be delighted to carry on a lifetime correspondence.

We'll have to agree to disagree about that then.
I know no such thing. I don't follow other people's activity on the site to the extent you seem to think I do.
I don't disagree.
No, I'll say what I like (within the CoC). This isn't some sort of Stalinist state where only one view is acceptable.
You omitted "Being held hostage by a priapic Canadian mountie."
