What? Me? Really?
While reading an article on the U.S. ambassador to Canada, he was supposedly a contributor to Project 2025. It occurred to me that we are only about a year away from midterms, yet I have heard nothing about an architecture by the Democrats that is the equal to the GOP master plan.
If the forces of evil created a plan to take over the government, what good will it do to have the Keystone Cops retake Congress if they don't have a real platform to enact? Looking around at the damage, it should be relatively easy to create the priorities list of SPECIFIC LEGISLATION to pass to undo the damage already done. Without that, we're simply faicing two years of statemate and potential return of the GOP.
Constitutional safeguards need to be put in place. International policies need to be ripped from the hands of the President and returned to the People, i.e., the Congress. If the next Congress is merely a bunch of squabbling, failed conviction for a third impeachment, and excessive waving of LGBTQ colors, we won't see the rout necessary in 2028 to get a supermajority in the Senate.
Without it, there will never be reforms to prevent this from recurring. And the chaos can only continue for so long.
I think we all know that neither side will accept the 2028 results. That's the latest possible time we could erupt into national violence. Frankly, I hope it comes this fall, as it may precipitate a larger turnout of the sane in next year's midterms. If we have to literally fight for our rights, maybe the slothful couch potato SUV drirvers will finally care about something more than their Door Dash, ESPN, and streaming services. Strangely, I think the center of the country is where the swing will happen. Most are actually moderates, so will conclude enough is enough.
Thoughts and prayers.
