Where The Wild Things Are

This film is interesting. I want to see it when it comes out. Kinda reminds me of Never Ending Story for some reason.

The thing is .. this was a story with like 10 sentences. The only thing that the move can take from that is the look, and hopefully also the moral.

However, at least they are actually FOLLOWING THE STORY.

Look at "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs"

The book was great and amazing. But with the movie they added characters to it, a different plot (or actual plot) and added humor and 3D.

If it wasn't called Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs it might not have been as popular.

For this one they seem to be trying to follow the book and bring it to life. Not do something completely different. Thank god. But yeah it does look good. I forgot the book really though. I should see if I can find it again and re-read it.

I saw it yesterday after classes. I loved it. The characters were so adorable, especially Max and the goat, Alexander.

Sundays are movie night for me. Seeing this tomorrow.

Just came back from seeing this flick with a friend. I give it 2 out of 4 stars, she gave it a 4 out of 4.

Anyone else catch it?

This was the #1 movie this weekend grossing about $32 million.

Nominees for the 67th annual Golden Globe Awards, announced today in Beverly Hills, Calif.:

—Original Score:

Michael Giacchino, "Up"; Marvin Hamlisch, "The Informant!"; James Horner, "Avatar"; Abel Korzeniowski, "A Single Man"; Karen O, Carter Burwell, "Where the Wild Things Are."

Yeah Yeah Yeahs chanteuse Karen O and her fantastic Where The Wild Things Are soundtrack have snagged a grammy nomination at the expense of Disney juggernaut Miley Cyrus. The Karen O and Nick Zinner penned single "All Is Love" recieved a nomination in the Best Song Written for a Soundtrack category, after Cyrus' contribution to the Hannah Montana Soundtrack was deemed ineligible because it was not written specifically for the film in which it appeared.

Where the Wild Things Are

Definitely a turn around from the typical kids' movie, then again I have my doubts that it was even targeted at children. It's a film that had me reminiscing of my childhood, the bittersweet, sad, and angry part of being a kid which is not the typical "joyous" and "wildly fun" portrayal of childhood.

I think that "gays" and people who label themselves different or grew up feeling lonely will love this film, did any of you?

It looks interesting, but I remember the book from my childhood.

I've forced the video trailers into url form as there are u/a actors in these clips. You can turn off the embedded media in your post, or if you don't know how that's done, just Report Post it ( see bottom left of each post for that link ) and a mod will help you out ..|
