Boy, after several weeks of nice weather it's gotten cold! We've had snow flurries the past five days -of course, the snow has basically melted within an hour after falling, but still.
Spring break came and went fairly quietly. I did the usual medical/dental/vision check-ups and got caught up on some things around the house... gotta tell ya, I love my new steam cleaniing gadget! It's one that you can use on the shower, countertops, etc. rather than the carpet cleaning type. Also read a few books and multiple comics.
I just finished writing up everything for my practicum. Will combine it later tonight and finalize it so I can send it to my professor. Then I can start on the comps... "mommy, i'm scared."
The summer is already starting to plan itself out. Teaching summer school for the first 2 weeks of June, then a workshop the last week of June. There's the possibility I may be attending another pre-AP course in mid-July. I kinda hope we do have to go... it's back in Tulsa, OK -all my family live there. It'd be great to be able to see them and have someone with me that can help drive.
And then it'll be August. Time to start the year again. I'm really ready for it, as we will have a new math series -no more SAXON!!!! Whoo-hoo!!! I hate that book with a passion. While the math book I really wanted didn't win, I can live with the one we are getting. It's written in a much more appropriate manner than SAXON.
Okay, that's a quick update on things. Gotta go finish laundry so I'll have something to wear in my freezing classroom tomorrow. The district has already shut off the boilers in the buildings and turned on the AC... nothing like having to wear gloves in the classroom in order to teach!
