So I checked squirt.org the other day and i am planning to visit America before the year is over. But I am wondering which usa city is the best to meet black men? I am thinking about nyc so where in nyc do the black gay guys hang out? I was stunned to find out new York City bathhouse scene is horrible. I think nyc only has one or two baths. I heard most of the gay sex takes place at bookstores or at private sex parties is this true? I am guessing Atlanta would be a good city to go? What is the gay scene like in Atlanta? Also anyone on here from Los Angeles is the gay sex scene good there or not? Also let me know which USA cities to avoid. I thought about Chicago but I heard the crime rate is really bad there and Washington dc.

Washington, DC has two baths -- Crew Club and the Glorious Health Club. The GHC caters to a more black scene while Crew Club can be hit or miss (although Tuesday nights are usually packed and a good mix). The owner is very involved in the LGBT activities and has made some very significant donations to causes of which I'm on the board. He also has his birthday party at the club and it is always all-nude which made me a little nervous the first time since the gay mag in DC also is invited and has a photographer (photos of the waist up!) I've walked all over DC and never had a problem although I probably wouldn't go into Trinidad or Prince George's County at night by myself while walking. Crime is no more than other large cities and you just have to be cognizant of your surroundings and you have no problem.
Atlanta gay scene is pretty busy and it has one bath. I've only been there twice and it was some years ago but there was a stigma, apparently, that made me feel somewhat segregated. The clubs were friendly and I had a good time with a few Jubbers!
NYC is a tough scene. You'd think there would be glorious baths and such but real estate is too expensive, apparently. The clubs are fun and one is attached to a hotel although I wouldn't book there because the owners are LGBT stupid. I've never been but Fire Island, I've been told, is fun in the summer with lots of anonymous debauchery.
Ft. Lauderdale, FL is one of our favorite places to go. There are clothing optional resorts that have always been a lot of fun -- particularly at New Years when they have parties during the day and invite in the locals. The bathhouse is one of the nicest I've ever seen and is more like a clothing-optional resort; replete with swimming pool, cabanas, buffets, fitness center, etc. Only problem we've ever encountered is that the gay resorts are near the gay beach but not as close to the gay clubs (which are in Wilton Manors). There is one clothing optional hotel -- The Cabanas -- that is near Wilton Manors but you otherwise need a car or cab to get around. The bath is downtown and away from both.
Chicago Boystown is still one of our favorites -- Steamworks, Roscoes, Sidetrack and a host of other clubs all in a few block area. The hotels are somewhat limited with a Days Inn and one other that shows up on Hotels.com. Days Inn isn't bad but we usually stay at the DoubleTree, Drake, or W downtown and cab it. The homicides and crime is mostly south of the Dan Ryan so if you stay downtown or in Boystown you have no problems (they are very gang related and so nothing south of I-94 is my suggestion). Unless you want to take in a White Sox ball game, you won't be going into the crime area.
San Diego is still where we would like to someday retire; slower pace and lots of clubs in the Hillcrest Gay area. There aren't many hotels in that vicinity so you do have to cab it or take Smart Cars. I know there is a bath across from Mo's (formerly Hamburger Mary's). Met the owner and got a tour, it seemed okay but not sure the scenes or hot days. There is a nude gay beach you can also drive out to (and walk down a cliff to get to -- so wear good shoes). Anonymous sex isn't allowed on the beach but you can always meet someone and go back to their hotel (or cover with a blanket).
We'll be going to Key West this year for New Year's. If you go to Florida, don't think Orlando is a gay mecca. While there are a lot of gays, everything requires a drive and I don't like to drink and drive so it can be a pain. We did stay at the Parliament House a couple years ago and had a blast during the holiday season. They had nightly parties, there was a shopping market set up on the weekends and the place was packed. You can stay at the same place although the rooms were a little questionable (carpets have not been cleaned in some time!)

I don't think Key West is the gay sex capital it once was. Maybe the Island House is fun, but the town itself is overrun with cruise ship passengers who are straight and muck up the whole town...yuck. It's fun, don't get me wrong, there are a number of bars and fun places to hang, but i wouldn't go there to get a nut...
