Which Country Will The USA Attack Next?

We can't attack Iranian nuclear sites without huge civilian casualties, many of the sites are supposed to be under populated areas and it would generate anti-American nationalism within the pro western Iranian middleclass, damage oil dependent allies and maybe spread warfare beyond Iranian boundaries. Just get used to an Iran with the bomb.

An attack on Korea would spread across the entire peninsula and devastate South Korea. Anyone for a land war on the Korean peninsula? Anyway, China still has considerable sway over N. Korea and China does not want big problems with her neighbors.

I don't know where the notion that the US is a warmongering bloodthirsty country comes from. We are the superpower and we have been drawn into some useless, nasty and needless wars, but we are not and never have been a society that thirsted for war. Wilson and Roosevelt had a difficult time getting us into war and Johnson and Bush had to lie us into war. The Roman Empire we ain't.

Iran is currently the number one possibility for military action by the United States, and Israel. The assault would be limited to destruction of Iran's nuclear industry sites. There would be no boots on the ground.

The likely scenario would be an aerial (aircraft launched bunker busters, and missiles) assault on Iran's nuclear sites, that are well removed from mass population centres for obvious reasons. No one wants a nuclear weapons facility polluting their neighbourhood with radio active leakages.

Iran's nuclear industry sites:

Looks like the Obama Administration is going internal. Is an attack on Arizona in the future?

May sound crazy but state's rights issues vs. the federal government seems to be the focus of this admin.

LMAO! Get real. Pray tell did you hear this on wingnut radio or did you just make that up now?

news report says American infrastructure are crumbling down.

Why don't they concentrate on that instead?

American infrastructure is a joke. Currently it needs $2.2 TRILLION just to raise the infrastructure rating from its current " D " up to a " B ". America used to lead the world in transportation and infrastructure, now it's barely one step above Mexico and plummeting fast. But hey that would benefit everyday, taxpaying, Americans. That's just crazy talk. Here is America's rating for various infrastructure components:

Aviation D
Bridges C
Dams D
Drinking Water D-
Energy D+
Hazardous Waste D
Inland Waterways D-
Levees D-
Public Parks & Recreation C-
Rail C-
Roads D-
School D
Solid Waste C+
Transit D
Wastewater D-

Well the American infrastructure was built quite a long time ago, so understand you're going through a rebuilding phase and an upgrading phase, I can say from experience that I-80 from where I go to school to Chicago land has been repaved and completely redone, looks good, so I think the money is being put to good use, may I ask where you are from by the way?

What's your point? Are you trying to say the American infrastructure is peachy keen because of one stretch of highway, in one city, in one state, "looks good"???

The perfect time for massive upgrading of infrastructure is during an economic recession. It stimulates the economy, puts people to work and is an investment that pays of in increased economic activity for years to come. Unfortunately, we are fighting two wars and have been saddled with huge public debts from the 8 years of the Bush administration. Thus, people are loath to have the country assume even more debt to do what needs to be done. People underestimate the damage that Bush/Cheney did to our country.

So we have stopped dumping billions of US dollars a month into the "war" now? Are we getting tax rebates then?

bush tax cuts and Bush's wars have caused this out of control deficit that WAS no longer in existence before he came into office.

We pay lower taxes now than we have in 60 years, and the wars are not over.

letting the entire bush break expire will help ballance the budget, but ending the war in afhanistan will take years, even if the drawdown begins on schedule.... and it will begin on schedule.

getting tax rebates was a bribe to the people, because that surplus was supposed to go to the debt, which is different from the deficit.

so there will be no bribes from the feds anymore.

sowwy chawwwie

Absolutely! And these jobs can't be outsourced to China, they have to be done by Americans, right here in America. Additionally, when you borrow money for 15, 20 or 30 years to invest in infrastructure that will last 50+ years, that's a wise investment.

Let's just fuckin' abandon all the countries in the world where we have troops and bases stationed. Bring them and our "military machine" home, build a defensive system that would knock out all incoming weaponry.

If anyone like Hilter or Stalin came along again -- we just ignore them and the people they murder and kill.

Would that make all you fuckers happy?

only if we could ship the republicans outside of the defensive system, so they could really accept full responsibility for their actions... hell lets just drop them naked in the middle of Somalia and see how they fare.

If you want to kill people, you ought to live with the repercussions of what you've done.

as for that fucker comment.... how did you know I just got laid? you peeping in my windows?:p

No, I'm saying maybe its not all the doom and gloom you're preaching. You seem to know a lot more about it than I do OBVIOUSLY. But, I'm sorry those grade reports are those up to date? Those look similar to the same ones the president was given like 2 years ago when he was put in office, is that pre-stimulus or now? Was I out of line asking where you're from? Your opening post just made it seem like you were looking in from the outside, maybe the phrasing or something.

I rarely agree with you, I too get tired of the seemingly ideology that makes America appear so damn terrible. Every country has its hang-ups, but is it really so unfair to fight in conflicts where we have no interests, and only looking to protect an ideology of our own?

Obama's Stimulous Money went on that shovel ready project. No, he said it would, but.........

I recently read that 89k dollars of Stimulus money went to reconstructing a 5 year old sidewalk in Oklahoma that ends... in a ditch. Don't forget the $1.9 million for international ant research. Can't make this stuff up.

As Nobel laureate Paul Krugman has said, what seems ludicrous is actually well thought out in the stimulus. He was once asked about so-called "cronyism" in the package, specially about awarding money towards building a park in DC. He responded by telling that person that the money bought sod, trees, ornamental statues. And that money went to tree growers, lawn ornament manufacturers, and sod growers who in a depressed economy could keep their employees employed with stimulus money now in their accounts receivable.

Of course the people actually working in the park were newly employed. So they could pay their bills, something clearly an unemployed person would have been unable to do knowing how little Americans save.

And a beautiful looking park attracts people to the community, thus bringing in money that wouldn't have been coming in if the park remained decrepit.
