Which Country Will Win the ICC World Cricket Cup?

SA 320 for 3 with a couple of overs to go v the WIndies. And they have just scored 26 off the penultimate over.:=D: :=D: :=D: 356 total posted. No chance of the WIndies winning this one.

NZ have just posted 219 in their match v SLanka. Congrates to Styris on a great century made with little support from his team-mates.:=D: :=D:

But if SL win this game, then it mite mar - or marmite? - England's chances of progressing into the next stage. Wonder what the Kiwis are having for lunch? Vegemite and Tim Tams...?
 
NZ lost, and Australia are about to crush Ireland (batting, Ireland are 6/50 after 15 overs).

Maybe we are more likely to see an Australia v Sri Lanka final?
 
Ireland all out for 91 off exactly 30 overs - I think that Australia might have elected to field with the intention of improving our net run rate. On present evidence, I'd say that will work out well. Go Aussie!

England have to beat SA and the Windies in their 2 remaining matches. Even then, they are not guaranteed a place in the next stage.

I'm actually pissed off that we (Aussies) trounced the Irish! There are so many Irish folk here.
Sydney is just so much more fun when the Irish win something!:D

England have not performed well under pressure in this tournament. Indeed they have been lamentable.:eek: And they will be very nervous today.

If England win the toss and choose to field, they have a chance...

But they have suffered a MASSIVE :eek: blow even before the game starts: Prince Harry will not be present at the Kensington Oval. He has been been sent to Iraq.

If only Iraq, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt, Yemen, Algeria, Morocco, Somalia, Ethiopia played cricket...;)
 
Well it doesn't look as though it's going to be England..I arrived in the UK just before the Ashes in Australia started last year, I hardly knew anything about cricket but I soon got caught up in the optimism.. wow.. what a let down then, it's not much better now. I'm going to check if I have any Irish ancestors.

After today's game v SL, the Irish might welcome you.;) Shame they finished on a bum note. But they must have some very happy memories.:=D: :=D: :=D:
 
Has Duncan Fletcher been appointed the new Kiwi coach? The result today of the Aussie - NZ game makes me wonder...;)

Kiwis v SL in progress now. 199 for 4 after 42 overs. It's gonna be a close game.

I think the Kiwis will have a problem with the SL's bowlers.

It could be a very exciting finish.....|
 
So it looks like an Australia v Sri Lanka ICC Final.

SA have just been bowled out for 149. Can't see the Aussies having any problem overtaking that score...
