Which European city has the best gay scene

People in the Zagreb region are evil. I always had bad experiences with them.
Yea the southern Croats are more like Italians.

You have been everywhere haven't you Mr. sexy Asian chest man...

I wouldn't say everywhere, but I've been quite a few places. I've always considered myself extremely fortunate to be able to afford both the $$$ and time to get to many of these places.

To the one saying that cities of the ex Yugoslavia are better gay scene wise (tolerant of homosexuality) is surely jesting.

For example in Barcelona, I saw, in a residential/conservative/up scale part of the city two teenage boys (no more than 15) holding hands and being affectionate with each other in public, and nobody even batted an eyelash (and there were elderly people, families, etc. present).

My vote still goes for Barcelona.

No he just talked about Ljubljana because Slovenes are smarter than the rest of ex Yu and Ljubljana does have some gayness in it.

What about other Spanish cities though? The Barcelona two language thing is killing it.

Btw guys totally random but I found a video of the Madrid bombings....scary as hell.

Anyways

I am searching gay Valencia and it looks nice so far.

This coming from a closeted guy is hilarious!

You do realize that men in Spain hold hands that aren't gay right?

Apparently Valencia is not just Spanish either.
You know what Spain, fuck you.
Getting on my nerves.

Maybe I should just go back to Croatia, bro.
Yes it's full of homophobic subhumans, but it's getting better.

Shade thrown my way from a guy who is from Singapore (where homosexuality is bordering on illegal) is hilarious.

And no, they weren't just holding hands, jack ass.

amsterdam, berlin, cologne, prague - maybe paris
oh .. and tel aviv if you count it to europe.

Barcelona, London, and Prague.

Let's be real. You can't even say the word "Barcelona" without sounding lispy and gay. It's like trying to say "Spartacus" in a non-gay way. LOL! (Everyone say it with me outloud, in your most gay, lispy, limp-wristed, and gay pride way "I love Spartacus in Barcelona"!

*|* (!)

Stay away from Italy tho, they are extremely homophobic.

Southern Italy to be specific. Cities like Rome, Venice, Milan and Florence are like cities anywhere else in western Europe. I wouldn't suggest gay couples kissing in front of the nonne in the rural villages though.:-)

DJ1990, I'm planning to do the same in the next couple of years or so but I'm thinking Paris for me. Spain is very GLBT freindly, from what I've read they're probably the most freindly one in the EU. Madrid and Barcelona are your best bet if you're looking for cities in Spain with Mediterranean climate. Lisbon would be a close second. If you can learn Spanish you can learn other Latin languages as well.

As for safety you're probably safer in a western European city than most major cities here in the states.

Hope that helps.

Yea I love Europe(most of it).
I feel so happy there....it's the amazing landscapes...they bring deep happines into my soul.

^ this was about the gay scene, not being gay friendly :)

Gay scene... maybe you could be interested in Malaga or Sevilla, specially Sevilla, mediterranean climate, and they only speak Spanish, don't even try English in Sevilla. But it's hell in summer.

No one has mentioned Brussels or Antwerp. I find that interesting. Belgium has a great track record on gay rights. Does it just not stand out from the crowd as being gay-friendly?

Great indeed, but Belgium never wants to come in the picture. My best dates are with Flemish guys, so down to earth, so tender, so...

If you're going to count Tel Aviv, you should count Montréal, and probably even Toronto on a good day.

umm .. no.
but i'll forgive a canadian who doesn't know about israel's affiliation with europe.
tel aviv is also a current applicant for europride 2013

So are the Jews accepting of gays?
My mom's friend lives in Tel Aviv.
Idk how she would react to my gayness.
I'm not saying I want to move there....but visit?....yes.
