In my life, I've tried to determine what role I would play were my life a movie.

Am I the protaganist, whom the audience wants to see accomplish his goals...

The antaganist, who stands in the way or is in conflict with the protaganist...

An anti-hero, sort of a protaganist who bends the rules to suit himself but still ulitmately does the right thing.

And onwards and so forth.

I think I'm in the middle ground between anti-hero and antaganist. I could be construed as someone's villain or archnemesis, but I've also the sort of capacity to do the right thing every now and again.

So, which one are you?

At work - I am the protagonist (take control - get it done - lead the pack), at home I tend to be the leading lady (but more like a Hillary Clinton - versatile and such), while with friends I tend to be an extra (I have a tough time with meeting new people and being in large groups). I am making a concerted effort to become more of a supporting role/teacher in all three areas of my life.

The ninja is inherently a henchman in other peoples' films.

However, when not dressed head to toe in black and creeping about dispensing death and sowing anarchy, the ninja would be an everyman, from everytown.

Blackbeltninja, though, would be the leading antiHero, the Head Honcho (but of a smaller and more embattled organisation than a typical Hero), and Big Cheese - a lesser-known cheese, like a mature pecorino, or somewhat obscure Jarlsberg.

However, I did notice that in fact this option did not exist in the poll, so I took #1, or Hero, because hey - why not?

I'd be the leading lady, good love intrest. As sad as it is, that's the only one that suites me. Plus, it was the character I would be with all my little buddies as a child, since girls wern't allowed.

I'd probably be one of those guys in the red shirt.

(Let's see if anyone gets this one.)

I'd rather be the side kick who has all the best one-liners for comic relief. Hopefully with a story arc where I die and the protagonist will have to avenge my death.

cue: DRAMA

The Villain. They get the best roles, the best lines and the best gadgets. Plus if your a good villain, everybody remembers you in the movies!

Besides....I think The Green Goblin in Spiderman movie said it best...

Green Goblin: Well, to each his own. I chose my path, you chose the way of the hero. And they found you amusing for a while, the people of this city. But the one thing they love more than a hero is to see a hero fail, fall, die trying. In spite of everything you've done for them, eventually they will hate you. Why bother?

I'm having an identity crisis. I see myself as the protagonist. But the world sees me as the antagonist.

](*,) ](*,)

I see myself as the individual who makes sure the final light is lit on stage when the theatre is empty and everyone has gone and the theatre has fallen silent.!oops!

did you not know that is the role in life that local village idiots play both on and off the stage.#-o

Probably a protagonist in a less dramatic Dorian Gray style.

But I'm guessing most of my lines would be in a voice-over.

It wouldn't be an exciting movie either way.
