Which one thing can bump up a sexy man another notch?

I was watching a guy on television this morning. He was cute and sexy as hell. . . a '10' across the board. From top to bottom, he was the perfect man. Gorgeous eyes, sexy smile, massive arms and chest, looked incredible in his T-shirt and jeans. . . just the right height and size. . . 'perfect 10'.

And then I discovered that he was left-handed and that somehow bumped him up yet another notch and made him even more perfect.

I don't know why that affected me the way it did. I mean, I'm not 'into' lefties. It doesn't particularly influence me one way or the other, yet, somehow, discovering that he was left-handed made that perfect 10 a 'perfect 10 plus'.

For you, what single thing can add those bonus points to the 'perfect man'?

your "accents" thread reminded me of another thing that can push a guy over the edge for me. partial to italian and latin accents, but the one that REALLY gets me are the new york guys. The guy who plays "Danny Messer" on CSI:NY--i swear to god i can get off just from hearing him speak!!!

I love it when a fantastic-looking guy turns out to be a big nerd, especially if he dresses in a nerdy/sloppy way instead of being GQ perfect.

Also, it's very hot to me when a man with an otherwise great body carries a few extra pounds around the waist.

Wait ... that's two. Well, they're related in that they both have to do with not trying to look model-perfect. I love very masculine men - not posturing macho fools, but deep-dish, unconscious manliness - and not being obsessed with appearance is part of that.

Not bad for a Newbie with only 4 posts under his belt. ;)

Welcome to JUB, and I'll be looking out for many more posts from you.

Not that I've had much experience, but I'd have to say a certain 'shyness' about him would be attractive to me. I'm just a big softy for the romantic/shy type.

I love to see any man with good posture.
Standing straight & tall (as he can) with his head held up.
Not slouched over and looking at the ground.
A nice smile is sexy too - as long as his teeth aren't green and they are all there.

I tend to make a lot of "rules" about how that special someone should be. The strange thing is, no one is ever allowed to walk on to the podium if he actually follows all the "rules". I guess I label such people as so hiiiiigh above me and get on with my life without major distractions.

They got to break my "rules", at least one of them. Also, they got to do it in a certain fashion so it appears elegant and maybe intelligent rather than brutal and stupid.

For example, tatoos and piercings, etc, does not really belong in my vision of a perfect man yet I wouldn't be totally surprised if that "rule" would have to go because a piece of perfection with tatoos and piercings suddenly makes his appearance on the scene.

I guess, in this way I side with JDSmagik:
This may sound odd, but discovering a slight imperfection would do it for me.

There is also something about appearance. Looks are not as important as I think it is, behavior is actually more likely to turn me on. Especially, a certain kind of masculine confidence about what a person is one of the factors that really "bumps him up". That will automatically allows the guy to break my "rules" and therefore step even closer to the podium. I think I agree with gmoney.

Sometimes it can be just the way he walks. A nice look of confidence (not cockiness) in a walk can do it for me.

Then there is the stuff you don't expect about someone close to Mr.Perfect, that guy that radiates testosteron on just your frequency: An obsession for something that I share. It is the trumph card here:
if he has a comic book collection or appreciates genre stuff.

i'm still looking for a geek boyfriend! ;)

Eh....I think it is mostly coincidental !oops! but I think GL247 showed a practical example of what is required for promotion on my ladder.

Want to come down to H-town for an inspection ?

Nothing is sexier than when a guy doesn't realize how handsome or sexy he is - immediately bumped up several notches.
Speaking another language (probably not a big deal for those outside the US!)
A dog lover. Not so much someone carrying around a shih-Tzu in a fancy bag, but a guy with a big dog that he just loves - as a dog lover I think that's incredibly sexy!

I like geeks...

mainly cause theres the common interest in it all.. i play games, read comics, love movies.. not entirely too big into music though.

ummm and someone that can handle my lack in self confidence when dealing with love, and my sometimes shy demeanor.. I sometimes swallow my words. If they can put up with my thats like.. 11 right there.

hi!

So many things can bump up a guy I find physically attractive. Someone who uses proper grammar online and a geek probably top the list.

"Stella! I think we need a bigger boat!!"

"Are you talkin' to me? Are you talkin' to me!?"

"What we've got here is a failure to communicate."

"Use the force, Luke."

"Klaatu barata nikto!"

"Do'h!!!"

(Obscure enough and strategic enough for you?)

Those are supposed to be obscure??

Yeah, a guy who caught those would be kool -- among quotes like "Gently!!!" (Princess Bride)....

I like older guys, and if they know how to kiss, that just bumps them up in my list.

I'm screwed -- past forty and clueless about kissing.

Proper grammar is good -- but only if he knows when to abandon it.

The first ones that came to my mind were:

Intelligent. I met a dancer at one of the gay bars in Portland a while back, and we've had some fun teasing each other... then on New Year's we got to talking, and the conversation drifted to Richard Dawkins...! It was like he underwent a total transformation right there, from diamond-in-the-rough to brightly shining gem.

Naturist. I could fall in love SO fast with a guy who would enjoy joining me skinny-dipping and all.....

One that does the opposite for me is smoking -- I see a guy light up, he drops three points on a scale of one to ten...

.... except this bartender at my fave bar, who's so hot that after he lights up, he drops three point to a 9....

Intelligence and not realizing how cute one is. Modesty aside, I can see (to a degree) my attractiveness. My boyfriend's totally in a "I don't really understand what you see in me but alright cool!" and it's... oh man, it's just so much cuter. That and just... well, he's smart in more ways than one. I fucking love it. I mean it's like a good example that has really awesome sex with you. What more could you want?

Oh, and having traveled. I have to say that bumped my cuteness up more, realizing how much he's traveled when my only true life goal is to travel to many various foreign countries/

Geekiness... and an appreciation for going out for pie and coffee. Oh, and being great with kids.

I've known a few guys like that. Gorgeous and sexy as hell and either not aware of it or not believing it. For me, an ego can actually knock a guy down several notches.

This is one of the things that just drives me crazy. I love when a guy a think is cute doesn't think he is. I love making him feel like he's the only man in the room. I have an odd taste in guys, so it's slightly easier for me to find a guy with less of an ego.

One of the problems I tend to run into is that some of the guys I try talking to go too far the other way. They have zero confidence and tend to talk down on themselves. Some people like this can be real bummers, and if you can manage to kill my mood... I tend to lose interest.
