Somebody needs to learn their history. You do realize that proponents of segregation were Republicans and "Southern Democrats," right? That Southern Democrats actually went against the Democrat party to pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964? Led by Strom Thurmond (who later became a Republican after 1964), they resisted the Democrat Party's efforts to bring about civil rights in the United States that Democratic Presidents like Kennedy and Johnson had pushed for. Fortunately, they were defeated, and pretty much most of the Southern Democrats are Republicans today.
 
Well Im glad all these REPUBLICANS just abandon ship and vote 3rd party as a form of protest, it has elected many a democrat presidents and will do so again.

And there is no Republican party anymore, just capitalists who see people as commodities to be used.

And there really is no Democrat party anymore either, simply Americans looking for answers.
 
We need to encourage the Tea Party to be the 3rd party and have their own candidate, like Perry. Let the republicans nominate Romney. Romney is too 'left wing" for the Tea Party. He is, after all a Mormon which isn't a real Christian and is the Grandfather of Obamacare.[-X

Ron Paul has his fans who will vote for him. Let's get another party going just for him.

I'm sure Newt will still try to siphon off a few votes as a write in.

There are five types of americans.... Left wing-nuts, democratic stalwarts, republican stalwarts and Right wing-bats and each of those four equal about seven point five percent of the population.... the other seventy percent do not vote and do not have a fucking clue what is going on BUT can be sold in six seconds with the right commercial.

But it is OK for you to wrap yourself in the flag and go marching off a cliff. Each one of the seven point five needs their loyal lemmings to carry the water.

He has a big point right near the start: American is being drained. We send dollars to the Middle East for fuel. We send dollars to Asia for cheap household goods and tools. We send dollars to Europe for quality machinery.

We have built a big drain into our economy, and dollars just flow out. Every dollar that flows out is a chip in the foundation of American jobs. Every dollar that flows out is a dollar that won't circulate here, moving through the economy over and over, generating jobs and prosperity.

Besides the drain, there are the skimmers. We have built them into the economy, too -- or, rather, Congress has built them in, a web of laws and regulations that make corporations more equal than citizens, that allows the extremely wealthy to skim off the top what they haven't earned.

An economy runs on moving money. Sending it out of the country takes it out of the economy. Handing it to the rich takes it out of the economy.


It would be nice to have a President with the balls to tell Congress, "Gentlemen and ladies, I ran to be President of the United States. I didn't run to be a baby sitter. You are not a Congress, but a kindergarten, and until you grow up and act like adults, there's no point in my dealing with you." And then he would go to the people, and it wouldn't be "occupy Wall Street", would be "occupy Washington", blocking congresscritters in the Capitol building and stopping traffic until they did what the President asked, and if they still behaved like spoiled brats, vote every one of them out of office and vote for anyone but a Republican or Democrat to replace them.

Well, he placed an invalid assumption on it (that we had a meaningful multi-party system). I based my non-Dem vote on that.

If it were between the only 2 realistic choices, Dem would be a lot higher.
 
My vote is Democratic. The GOP God's Only Party left me when the party became the home of religious right. The prophets of Jerry Fawell, Pat Robterson and company. Today it is party of tea baggers, Fox News, Rush and company of far right media. The party of NO and its aim is one term for Obama. Party that has little care or interest of the LGBT community. Good example at last debate it boos a gay soldier doing his job.

I sympathize with many middle of the road Republicans who must be dismayed to have seen their party hijacked by the far right. The obsession with religion and social issues, which should not be political at all, has derailed their elected officials who feel they have to pander to the right or be targeted for reprisal at the polls.

Our current President doesn't have the balls to bring this kind of change. Sadly, none of the other ones (republicans) running for President do either.

Obama's chief-of-staff is a guy from Wall Street and yet he wants to play the game of "supporting" these people. The only change he's after is the change in your pocket.

The tape in #37 is ... AWESOME. Our "representatives" are bought and paid for and serve at the will, not of the voters, but of the political campaign donors. Buy enough airtime and hire a creative staff (e.g., swiftboaters) and you can convince the American people to elect anybody. Without campaign dollars, you aren't going to get elected. Period. We live in a plutarchy....we are ruled by a few very wealthy people. I am surprised there are no self-proclaimed communists on the poll so far. 99% of us are serfs. We live on the Bank's land. We work for robber barons, one way or another. We are not in control. For those of us who believe we are in control: 1) what happened to 30-50% of your real estate value?; If you got into trouble, why would the bank rather repo and tear down your hut than give you a decent rate you could afford? 2) Why do you pay taxes out the ass and Warren Buffet doesn't?; 3) Why is your household income dropping and the Forbes 400 gained $160 Billion last year? 4) If you still have one, think about your job. How hard is it to imagine your organization going away, down-sizing, not needing you?

Not possible?

Gee, Bank of America only made 2 Billion Dollars. They are rewarding 10's of thousands of their employees with a pink slip. What does a teller make? 12/hr? Their top executives make in the $6+ million range.

Trust me comrades, waiting on the Czars to do right by us is not working. They truly don't give a fuck.
 
I think I'm gonna end up voting for Obama...so democrats.
