What a day to be proud of: a peaceful day of civil rights protests that will be an important moment in history: over 300 hundred cities and 9 countries. I hope that all of those that attended found it to be as inspiring as I have. Please keep up the fight for full equality.
Over the long term, I really do believe that this will save lives. When gay people are treated as human beings that deserve the same rights as everyone else, it will make it harder for parents to kick out their children or disown them for being gay, which means less teen homelessness. I also hope that it will mean less suicide attempts by gay people and that it will become unacceptable to treat gay people as being less than human or lesser humans. The sooner we get equality and fairness, the better.
