You can add whatever you want. Bubble tea, it's called. It can be made with coconut milk, with fruit juice, with black tea, with white tea, sweet, savory...it ROCKS.

But you either love it or hate it. You have to be cool with sucking up little jelly tapioca pearls through a straw with you beverage. :)


I hate that boba stuff...I don't want chunky little balls in my drink....lol....

That rice pudding looks yummy but IMHO Icky-sticky date pudding with toffee sauce is THE best pudding in the world!!! .....

Ingredients:

350g pitted dates
500ml water
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
125g butter
4 large eggs
350g self-raising flour
2 tsp vanilla essence.

Sauce ingredients:

350g soft brown sugar
250ml whipping cream
250g unsalted butter
2 tsp vanilla essence

Method:

Place dates in small saucepan, add bicarbonate of soda and water, stirring to combine. Bring to boil, stirring, then simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool till just warm. Add other ingredients, mixing well. Transfer to greased 30cm high-sided cake tin and bake at 160C for 1 hour.
Mix sauce ingredients. Transfer to small saucepan and cook over medium heat till it becomes honey brown. Pour over warm Icky Sticky Pudding and serve with a big dollop of whipped cream or ice cream.

'nana pudding, bread pudding, or that rice pudding they make at the Indian restaurant down the street, which is sweet, looks like milk, and has no lumps at all.
