So I LOVE kissing my boyfriend, LOVE...But the thing is, people of us, even when we shave, tend to grow our beards pretty face, so that in a few hours we'd have stubble.

Well last night we had a marathon make out session and my face was super red and I was super itchy on my neck. And now I've got a cold sore(a lot of irritation is just one of the many things which make that happen :-/...) I've got super sensitive skin! Shaving makes me break out too. :-/....It's a lot of fun.

Now I did a pretty intense shave before out make out, probably way too much(I was trying to get every ounce of stubble out)...so my skin was probably at it's most sensitive, hence the intensity of the stubble burn(This is really the first time it's happened...usually it's kind of small irritation), so I now to pretty much avoid doing that now. Or at least but on some after shave/cream for someone with super sensitive skin like myself.

Does anyone have any other advice on how to avoid this? I want to know for both of us really. We REALLY love kissing, so it's not something we plan on giving up, but we also need to not look like red faced messes for our day to day activities.

Find a good moisturizer for your face and use if after you shave, that will make you skin less sensitive for your make out sessions, it sounds like the fact that you shaved first made your skin even more sensitive to his stubble. Nivea for Men has a good moisturizer for sensitive skin that I use and it really helps with the irritation from shaving.

Sounds like it was your boyfriend who did not shave close enough.

Yeah, he was pretty whiskery..that plus my already super sensitive skin....

My skin is such a pain in the ass :-/

Thanks JFT, I'll get a good moisturize!

If your professions allow it, grow out your beards. Also, OP, take better care of yourself to eliminate the cold sore.

I'm not a beard fan so I usually shave it but for the next few days I don't have a choice...But not sure what you mean by take better care of myself to eliminate the cold sore. I'm doing all I can :-/. I've had them since I was a little kid.

I hear resting and adequate nutrition helps prevent them in some cases.

Yeah but I think these were caused by the large amount of friction. I've bought a bunch of vitamins and moisturizer, so hopefully that evens it all out.
