White House Official Fox News A Wing of the Republican Party

Campbell Brown absolutely nailed it in that video.

I agree.

That's what I've been trying to say on here.

That's interesting because Brown makes two primary points and you barely hit on one element of one of them.

One of Brown's points is that Fox and MSNBC are biased but CNN is the one "still trying to do journalism."

The other is about the White House, saying it's “silly” for the White House to go after Fox: “I mean, really, the White House is only just now figuring out Fox in prime-time has a conservative bias? Really? I think our friends at Fox News have been pretty up-front about it, and frankly, pretty unapologetic, for that matter. What confuses me is that if the White House is really so concerned about bias in the media, then why are they only targeting Fox?

You never even came close to trying to make that point. I just scrolled through this entire thread and you never mention the Obama White House or CNN. And in fact you attack Bill Hemmer unfairly, in the ObamaNation fashion that Campbell Brown does not do, accusing him of being deceitful when all he did was report accurately what Jennings had said himself about an event in his own life.

It's interesting to see the difference between what you say and what you claim, afterwards, you were trying to say.

The point Campbell Brown misses, and that Valerie Jarrett does a poor job of making, is that the issue isn't bias in reporting the news, it's when a media outlet's bias leads them to distort their reporting of the news. Brown asks about bias, Jarrett talks about distortions. Jarrett should have admitted that most news organizations have a bias, but pointed out that Fox's reporting gives a very distorted picture of reality.

Surely the WH realizes that all the media has a bias one way or the other, which shows up in the opinion programs. CNN's Campbell Brown recently spoke about this regarding her interview with Valerie Jarrett:

"What confuses me is that if the White House is really so concerned about bias in the media, then why are they only targeting Fox?...So I am stating what I think is the obvious here: Jarett seems loathed to admit that MSNBC has a bias; and that is where I think the White House loses all credibility on this issue. Just as Fox leans to right with their opinionated hosts in Prime Time, MSNBC leans left..."

Ms. Jarrett is quick to condemn Fox for their bias but when asked about MSNBC, she says that we should not be generalizing about this subject. Which is it?

had not seen this - thank you

Campbell Brown does a great job here

and Valerie Jarrett is clearly unable to speaketh the truth - she tries to evade, deflect and avoid but exposes herself as unworthy of believing

FOX bias is bad
MSNBC bias is good

we go after Fox because .................

duh

thanks Campbell

the 85 don't want to see or hear this - they just want to be like VALERIE

when msnbc bias is brought up they cover their ears and say hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
