White Supremacism -- what's with that, anyway?

On line, on the street, and even here on JUB, I keep running into white supremacists lately. I've tried to fathom the position... and can't grasp it.

I can see white pride; that makes sense just like gay pride or black pride. For the truly bigoted, I can even understand white separatism, people who want to have a place for just white folks, where they don't have to encounter people with real color in their skins.

But I don't get white supremacism -- what's the deal?

It is ideals left over from Nazi Germany that the white race is superior to all other races.

I know why it exists, and where it came from in the US. What is baffling is how gay men can be white supremacists. But hey, ever group has a flavor for everything, I really shouldn't be surprised at all.

I wonder if when a gay white supremacist is checking out a guy, they think back to how their straight white supramcists wouldn't condone such things. Cause they hate everything. Blacks, Jews, Gays, Hispanics, Asians.

According to them, all of them is whats wrong with the world.

I don't subscribe to anybody or any race being superior to any other. I've read "White Power" by George Lincoln Rockwell, while in college. Just didn't get it. I don't understand how anybody can expend so much energy being so pissed off at everybody else. But differences are what make the world go around.

Maybe our resident white supremacist can help explain it to us. I'd be interested in hearing what he's got to say.

I heard a claim that they'd isolated the particle that transmits the "love force", but it seems someone merely confused the logical particle name, the "love-on", with a colloquial phrase, "Love on me".

One of the more recent places I ran into white supremacism is in a series of novels I saw -- of all places -- in a Fred Meyer store. The series is set in post-nuclear America, and is truly vile in its portrayal of the "proper role" of non-whites... and of women.

How does such material get a large enough reading to make it into one of the nation's big chain stores???

I don't think a chian with stores in only four states qualifies as one of the nation's big chain stores.

Fred Meyer stores are throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska

I don't even know what "Fred Meyer" is. The novel series obviously is fictional, but is it really attempting to sell a white supremacist message? Is it on Amazon.com?

I don't recall the name, so I can't search on Amazon.

But I flipped it open and encountered a scene where the heroes had tied naked black women spread-eagle to the front of tanks... and another where Asians were tethered as slaves. These "uses" were portrayed as proper and fitting.

White nations have controlled and exploited the rest of the world for the last 2000 years, but now that the imbalance is slowly starting to dissipate these fucknuckles can't take it and get all shouty and ridiculous.

this where my head is as well.

like i want to hear a really intelligent white supremecist explain to me what the biological diffrences are, and also explain to me in full without me inturrupting why we are able to cross breed the races when we are so different.

cuz out of my 12 years in public school i was class validictorian 5 times. and 2 of those were when i lived in the orphan house with no parental backing.
and i'm VERY black, so what were the superior white kids doing.

The white supremacists are almost invariably from classes that never had any power. One of the most important notions in their belief-system is that the current (white) elite are a decadent bunch, who squander the long-term prospects of the people of their own race for the sake of making a few bucks more.

like i'm proud that people think i'm a good writer,

i only make 300 bucks a month off of it, so i have to do it part time for fun, but that is something i was not born with and had to build and develope myself and that i'm proud of.

Pride in the simple incidence of being gay/straight/bisexual or whatever is also fairly redundant; one did nothing to earn it or even influence its occurence. It is simply a coincidence of biology. However, there is some legitimate rationale in a certain degree of pride living as an openly gay/bisexual/whatever human being in those cultures that have a tradition of railing against such states, since it requires a certain degree of courage and consideration. I would emphasise that the pride one feels should ideally be in regard to the accomplishment of standing in the face of adversity or oppression, rather than in the simple biological coincidence of being gay. The same can be said of those that derive from particular ethnic or racial backgrounds who are forced to subsist in cultures that have traditionally oppressed or declaimed against them. Once more, the pride should derive from the accomplishment; not the biological coincidence that informs it.

Maybe we should change Gay Pride to "Gay Days", and celebrate who/what we are.

Part of my journey has been that until I came out, I never knew that I could celebrate my body -- not just accept it. I could get into a celebration theme!
