Re: Why I will not vote for Trump

The alternative, Hillary will almost certainly be able to appoint a 5th democrat to the USSC. I dread to think what new liberal agenda items they will impose on the country. Certainly they will limit poltical spending leaving the libel media a free hand. Other new laws will be designed to favor those who vote democrat. Meanwhile, Hillary will continue to flood the country with new democrats. My prediction is that all future presidents will be democrats, just as Chicago has not elected a Republican mayor since the 30s.

Re: Why I will not vote for Trump

he is a callous billionaire living in a gilded penthouse pretending to represent the working class fearful of losing jobs to foreign workers and foreign trade.

In case Benvolio missed it in another thread, Mr. Trump, who campaigns about keeping American jobs in American, has a habit of hiring his 'servants' for his mansion, Mar-a-Lago in Florida, from outside the United States. He claims he can't find Americans to do the jobs despite the fact that a career services agency in Florida has over a thousand clients capable of doing the jobs.

And he's been doing it for ages (emphasis mine):

Here's Donald Trump's dilemma: He is running for president on a platform of bringing jobs back to the U.S. and making America Great again.

But at his private club in south Florida, he has filled his staff almost exclusively with imported foreign workers. And he has been doing it for years.

The U.S. Department of Labor has confirmed to CNN that between 2013 and fall 2015, Trump's Mar-a-Lago club posted 250 seasonal job openings and filled just 4 of those jobs with American workers. The club requested the rest of the staff be temporarily imported through the Federal government's H-2B visa process. Basically, Mar-a-Lago brings in its seasonal staff from overseas.

Trump is a man who plays by his own rules - a 'do as I say, not as I do' man - and sometimes he makes up the rules as he goes along.

He doesn't seem to have a problem with that.

Re: Why I will not vote for Trump

Trump s the biggest liar in the room....and he is TRULY dangerous. The only ones in recent history who could make Ronnie Reagan and GW look good to me is Hitler..and Trump...

Even if I was a Republican and I liked the guy for some reason...I would never be OK with a person like that having his finger on the nuclear bomb. If he were a Democrat..I would have to vote for the Republican so I could stop him.

Never in my life would this man have been a consideration for any reason for so many obvious reasons...but luckily I don't have to plug my nose this time and vote against him as Hillary Clinton has been my first choice for quite some time now.

Yeah he's a bad man he is.

Re: Corbin-Fisher Update - 2016 Edition

Well boys & girls, waaaaay off topic. As a poli sci guy, I sometimes remind family & friends that in the American version of democracy, we usually can't vote for someone we like, we wind up voting against someone we dislike. The election of 2000 was, to a lesser extent, that way. This year may be the most extreme example of that. Most of the gay population is sticking their heads up their asses because they dislike Trump for so many other reasons. Yeah, he's undoubtedly an egomaniac and he's so politically incorrect. Of course, for many, that's exactly his greatest appeal. But on the issue of gay equality with the hetero world, he's a refreshing voice within the Republican camp and shoved gay equality down their throats at the convention. His opponent tells us she loves "us" and wants to ensure gay rights while at the same time, for years, she and her husband have collected tens of millions from the country's in the world that EXECUTE and imprison individuals who are gay. Think those countries who paid tribute money to the Clinton's grieved Orlando? I look at what people do, not as much as what they shout to the crowds. I dislike Trump; I despise Clinton who I believe is the most corrupt politician to ever seek the office. I'll vote for Trump!

You must have studied political science at Trump University. Your statement is so ridiculous it's unbelievable. Donald Trump has praised Vladimir Putin, who has fomented the most anti-LGBT society in Europe. Trump does business in Saudi Arabia and other Arab countries in the Middle-East. The Clintons may take money from Middle Eastern countries with dreadful anti-gay records, but Trump spends his money there, generating economic activity and, no doubt, putting money in the pockets of anti-gay bigots.

Hey what's up....was this written on Opposite Day??!!

I cannot vote for Trump. I won't vote for Hillary unless the vote in my state is so close (and it likely won't being New Jersey ,which in recent years almost always goes blue).... probably more a protest vote more than anything between Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party and Jill Stein of the Green Party though I have some objections to both. The Hillary fans say everything said against her is a lie, but when you go through her overall record and actions, it's impossible unless you are a delusional fanboi with your nose up her butt so blissfully the stench even arouses you to conclude she's not at the very least a pretty shady, self centered politician. Trump however is a total shitshow and there is nothing that could make me vote for him. The guy barely sleeps, regularly spouts ignorant horseshit, has a temperament a bratty child would be embarrassed about and is so unqualified for the rigors of the job that it is an insult that a major American political party bereft of any leaders of character and standing would put up to represent them.We can survive Hillary... at least on some things like the Supreme Court we won't get screwed over like we would should Trump win and get to remake the court with Antonin Scalia types.

For once, Trump reads a written speech from a teleprompter. But is this really a turn-around?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For the first time since declaring his presidential run, Republican Donald Trump acknowledged that his caustic comments may have caused people pain, saying that he regrets some of what he's said "in the heat of debate."

A day after announcing a campaign shake-up and as he trails in the polls, the GOP nominee said that he recognized that his comments — which have angered minorities and alienated large swaths of the general election electorate — may have been ill-advised.

"Sometimes in the heat of debate and speaking on a multitude of issues, you don't choose the right words or you say the wrong thing. I have done that," the GOP nominee, reading from prepared text, said at a rally in Charlotte, N.C. "And believe it or not, I regret it — and I do regret it — particularly where it may have caused personal pain."

He added that, "Too much is at stake for us to be consumed with these issues." As the crowd cheered, Trump pledged to "always tell you the truth."

Oh, and later in the speech, he accused Clinton of being a 'bigot'.

Maybe he'll give Robert Morrow a reach around.

If I lived in the US nowadays and had the right to vote, a faulty bulletin from me would be their dream come true. :D The list of candidates sucks. Hope, you choose wisely.

Actually there is nothing wrong with Hillary, Bernie, or Jill.

The clown car as usual is populated with the right.

Perhaps one of you Scandinavian types could explain to them why Universal Health Care and free education are good things. They won't listen to us, especially the ones who have everything to GAIN from such things.

For some reason they think building walls is a good idea, even though the Chinese already proved that doesn't work.

Would rather have voted for Bernie, but will be voting for Hillary. The other choice would be death to the Republic.

Evanrick must be busy flooding Facebook this week.....he is remarkably silent on Hillary's 85% probability of becoming President.

how can there be 7,000 views of my thread, and i write very popular threads probably the most popular in jub, but only 43 votes in this poll?
