Another one that comes it mind is Mandy Moore. Her acting has never been convincing to me. It's weird though, I don't like her movies or music, but I adore her and am always rooting for her to be successful.

ETA: I just listened to Mandy's version of Umbrella and it might have changed my opinion on her music. I liked it much better than Rihanna's.
