Who do you think should be the next president of the United States in 2016 and why?

I agree. Especially if Gadget runs for Vice President.

:rotflmao: ya have to take it that back like that?

i was going to say an elephant but that might send the wrong message where people might think i'm talking about a republican. naw.. either a siberian tiger or a cat in the white house. i mean the actual animals. a cat stamping bills with his paw. that would be cute.

or we can have
Khloe-Kardashian-Boo-the-Dog-Facebook-102610261.jpg
in the white house. i'm voting for him if the candidates suck next time.

My housemate had the exact same dog plushie haha sooooo cuteeeee (*8*) Assuming that the picture you posted is a plushie.

I would like to see Hilary Clinton, but she is gettting a little older and she may want to retire from politics. I don't think that Joe Biden would get in if he ran. A Bush may try to run in 2016 or 2020, but I hope they wouldn't win and I wouldn't want them in. Other than Clinton, I don't pay enough attention to politics to know anyone else.

I think Psy would do a good job, unfortunately not being born in the US could prove to be the biggest hurdle.

He looks like a creepy crazy stalker guy.
That's too similar to the Tony Blair power hungry maniacal smile. I wouldn't wish that on any country!

They should change the rules and allow Obama to have a 3rd term, failing that I'd love to see Hilary Clinton there, and I have a feeling that - unless the Republicans can get their act together and 'get real' - so would the rest of the world.

Hard-up1.

He is smarter than all members of Congress combined.

From the far distance perspective of Australia, I think Hillary Clinton would make a superb President. And I believe the USA is one of the very few Western countries which has never had a female head of state.

I agree with Teadrinker, I'd like to see Hillary Clinton as the next US President. I think she's awesome.

The only problem with Hillary is that unlike a lot of potentials, there actually was a lot of broad survey-taking done about her prospects as a frontline Democratic candidate back when she was a potential nominee running against Obama. And even before Obama won the nomination, unfortunately a lot of the survey information indicated she was incapable of carrying a national election, even if she had won the nomination. So unless her tenure in Obama's administration and her image since then has changed enough, it would be a little chancy trying to run her for President. At least according to the 2004 numbers, she was not capable of winning a national election.

How about Sarah Palin? She can "see" the win from her place....

YES, YES, A THOUSAND TIMES YES! Sen. Feingold would make an AMAZING president. He was a great Senator whom I have come to respect for the fine way he represented Wisconsin for much of the time I lived there. I also think he could be greatly aided by someone he worked with on the State level who is now in Congress, fellow Wisconsinite Tammy Baldwin. She also did many great things for Wisconsin, and it could be an amazing ticket.
Dammit, I wish that Democrats would stop stealing Senators for other purposes! They may end up stealing John Kerry, probably eventually giving that seat to Brown, the Republican, who should forever be disqualified for public office. The putrid racism he and his goons showed during the campaign was appalling.

On the other hand, Russ Feingold wouldn't be able to steal Tammy Baldwin from the Senate, because I think that the two politicians are required to be from different states. (But, oh, maybe he'd still steal her for a cabinet position or something...OTOH I'd be OK with her in the Supreme Court, which is a position more powerful than a Senate seat.)
