Hi.

Who lives in a small country? Say, with a population of six million or less.

What's it like?
 
Singapore. 4 million and less. Kill me.

Well, I live in Austria, which I would consider as a small country.

We've got a population of about 8.4 million (which is about the same as New Jersey), and an area of a little less than 84,000 km² (which is about the same as South Carolina).

Our biggest neighbour Germany is about 5 times bigger in size (approx. 357,000 km²), and about 10 times in population (approx. 82 million).
Our smallest one is Liechtenstein, with 160 km² and a population of about 36,000 :)

Area in size about the same as the UK. Human population 4.2 million, sheep population 20 million. That should give you some sort of idea of what its like.
 
I would like the Netherlands to lose a couple of million people, as this nation-wide housing shortage is really starting to get on my nerves. :D
 
I'm originally from Zimbabwe, which has 8 million residents of whom about 45 million vote for Mugabe every election year according to the official Mugabe-endorsed election results.

Uruguay - 3.5 million

You know a country is small when for counting the population in millions you use a decimal (as in the case of our kiwi friend)

I don't know what it's like, cos I've only lived in Uruguay and New Zealand, so I can't compare it to a big country, but I guess it's quieter, but fewer gays to chose from
