Who is Liev Schreiber Playing in Wolverine?

http://www.chud.comis reporting that Liev Schreiber is playing Victor Creed (AKA Sabretooth) in the Gavin Hood-directed "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and not a young Stryker as was previously believed.

The site adds that Michael C. Hall ("Dexter") is instead in talks for the role of Stryker and that they are eyeing Michelle Monaghan for Silver Fox.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, "Wolverine" tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

The movie opens in theaters on May 1, 2009.





Okay,i know Wolverine has already been done to death but, my curiosity is peaked as to which other characters will be making an appearance.. :-)
 
They have to have Deathstryke(name) and possibly Deadpool, as they are both other "graduates" of the Weapon X program. I think they'll have a young(er) Professor X, and maybe Magneto.

I can't wait to see the movie. On a side note, I've heard rumors of an Iceman and a Magneto movie.
 
Last I read (comicbookmovies.com) he was playing Sabretoothe. I have heard rumors of Deadpool as well and early on, but I think not so much now, was the Silver Samurai. I haven't heard or read anything on an Iceman movie, as much as I like the character, I don't think he could carry his own story like Wolverine or Magneto. There were some rumors going around about a movie involving the younger X-Men, from the Xmen films (Iceman, Kitty Pryde, Jubilee, Colossus, etc.) but I haven't heard anything on that in quite some time.
 
Sabretooth.

Honestly, Wolverine bores me to tears. Don't understand why everyone's always been so obsessed with him.

Not to mention the fact that a "Wolverine" spinoff is kind of pointless considering you might as well already name the first two films "Wolverine".

I really want this Superman sequel to get canceled so Bryan Singer can come back and do X-Men 4. And please find a way to bring Cyclops and Jean back to life.
 
Yes, he was & he is just as badass as Sabretooth & Wolverine, IMO...with an actual active power that wasn't just enhanced senses & a healing factor...before M-Day anyway

I don't know much about Silver Fox, but it would be interesting to see her on film
 
So we can agree on two things.

1. Liev will be playing Sabertooth.

2. There will be quite a few Weapon X 'graduates' in the movie, with quite a bit of action.
 
I hope so, because 90 minutes of Wolverine yelling & slashing people with no apparent blood is enough to put me to sleep

...unless Jackman's doing it while wearing very little
 
i really don't think Hugh Jackman is a very good Wolverine. i always thought that, am i the only one?
 
Jackman is alright. Wouldn't have been my first choice, but he's done well with it.
