1. Bruno Mars for his amazing vocal acrobatic, tenor and melisma.
2. Michael Jackson :king , of course

A lot of good shouts already made, and its a tough one, as I tend to be a band/group kind of guy and its harsh to pick one person out of a collective effort. But when I think about solo artists Harry Belafonte comes outs somewhere near the top, along with a whole host of old calypso singers.

The solo artist I have probably listened to most solidly is Johnny Hobo/Pat "the Bunny" Schneeweis - been listening to him for as long as I can remember. Pyotr Mamonov is always good, along with some lovely songs by the likes of Dafydd Iwan and Rory Mcleod.

The most talented is probably Moondog for me as he just made such amazing, beautiful songs every time.
