  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Who Knew...

Never mind. I thought it was the kind of stuff you were asking for.

In Raleigh, NC, there is mad construction going on I-40 at nights in between here and Durham.

You want today's local news - here are the headlines from boston:

1. A body missing from the state medical examiner's office was found today buried in another man's grave, officials said.

2. Massachusetts officials disclosed today that the final price of the Big Dig could be close to $15 billion under the worst case scenario -- $333 million more than previous estimates -- but they stressed that cost recovery from contractors and other expected income would likely keep the final cost below that figure.

3. Ex-stripper found guilty in fraud psychology case

Now do you understand why I don't read the paper or watch the local news.

^ Same construction stuff in and around Asheville, NC along I-40.
Quite aggravating actually...

.

well looks like we got the NC crew in this joint

Yeah sadly I guess global news is more important than local news hmmm... guess this thread isn't as fun as I thought it would be  Eh I was just trying to take peoples minds off the global events and make em focus more on home.

Don't know what you mean. Every post has been local, as far as I could tell.

here in Baton Rouge we had rains today at the rate of 4 inches per hour......we had street flooding all over town and the attendant wrecks...

i worked today across the Mississippi River from Baton Rouge and used the car ferry instead of the bridge......it's a nice ride each morning across and back in the afternoon...about a 10 minute ride....

today it was eerie seeing the rain coming down so heavily and i'm afloat on the deck of a boat in the middle of the biggest river in the country...lol...

in Muskegon Township, a dead body was found in the recycling truck's load

And in very local news, the centipedes came out today here.

I never saw these when living in town, but here in the country, you see them once in a while -usually in the yard, but sometimes in the house. I've seen two today -the first of the year.

They're too weird to be scary.
