Who uses Bing? And is it good?

I use Bing. I'm not a big fan of Google as a company. Bing gets me great results and looks more aesthetically pleasing in my opinion. Plus, after doing a certain number of searches, you can redeem points for rewards. I get a $5 Starbucks gift card every once in a while.

That's really cool. I didn't know they did that. Considering the amount of money that Google makes from people doing searches, it would be a good idea to reward users like that.

Yes, it would definitely be nice.

But, the fact that Microsoft needs to pay people to use Bing says a lot.

I think I'm going to run searches using both for the same search theme and compare how useful/different the results are

Actually only a small percentage of searchers use Bing. A very large market share uses Google. That is why most SEO materials I have read focus their attention on Google.

For search, Google.

For maps, both Bing and Google. Bing's Aerial View, where available is excellent.

Thanks Falcon. I didn't know there was such a thing as Aerial View. Gonna check it out.

That makes sense, and would almost make me feel bad for Microsoft if they weren't reporting huge profits.

I use Goggle primarily (home) however for images or video Bing is far superior. Even with the filter set less restricted on Google it still filters way to much in its nanny approach to decide what is proper and not. This isn't just for porno either. I enjoy the format and layout with images and video regardless of search, its pretty user friendly. Let the usual snobs who hate ms so much go ahead and blah, blah, blah. Every thing ms does isn't great but without fail ms has some good product.
( oh ...If it is porno Bing will get you the results you will never get in search on google in 2014.)

I checked out the Aerial and Bird's Eye views in Bing.

Normally I use Google Maps/Google Earth.

Bing's Bird's Eye had interesting perspective's, but very dated images... Over 2 years. Most of Google's is around 6 months.

I mostly use Google. But, I have my homepage set for bing and use it sometimes. It seems to work ok to me.

I set my homepage to bing in December because every time I opened the page I had been using The Duck Dynasty guys were all over it. It was ruining my Christmas spirit. Bing at least comes up with an different interesting picture each day that you can use a desktop background.

That's one of my favorite things about Bing. I learned about Fly Geyser from it being featured as a Bing image.

Yes, it's Bing's Bird's Eye view, not aerial as I mentioned earlier. Thanks Borg for that. They are taken from aircraft and many of them are dated but still gives an interesting perspective, especially when rotating the compass point of views.

google is way better.
Just compare google map and apple phone map, apple map has alot of errors.
