Who will have the #1 album of 2007?

I didnt think the High School Musical soundtrack would of been this years #1. I knew it sold alot. But alot of that has to do with most retailers selling it so cheap. I listened to it at the Virgin Store and I did not think it was that good. Except the song Start Of Something New, I love that one.

Britney and Whitney and Ritney (Rihanna i just wanted to end everything with a ney)

All 3 women will be big in 07.

I think in the U.K it will be the likley x-factor winner Leona Lewis or possibly Travis who are releasing early next year

And in the U.S i reacon probly Mariah, She was the biggest last year abd when she is on top she seems to be consistant with selling huge.

World wide i would probley say Mariah Again as she is big in all the markets Eg U.S, England, Japan, Australia and coldplay arnt releasing next year so there isnt really any rival although 50 cent is but his main :gogirl: sales are limited to the U.S

Re: Britney

Britney ALL THE WAY.

The pop world has been waiting patiently for the princess of pop to return.

Rihanna has done a good job of keep pop alive but 2007 is all about the brit.

Britney is working with some amazing songwriters so you can expect Toxic * 10.

Britney is going to come back big.

You heard it hear first.

I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU....(!)

Well as far as albums that actually COME OUT next year, I dunno.

But I still think Carrie Underwood's CD's gonna outsell half these bitches.

And since Judas Priest is my favorite band along side Soilwork (who also may have a new album next year), I'm totally stoked about that one.
I'm sure I remembering reading somewhere that the new Priest album is to be a concept album based on the life of Nostrodamus.

If it's anything like the wonderfully, camp, tacky, and totally overblown epic 'Loch Ness'* from 'Angel of Retribution', I'm sure it will be utterly fabulous. :gogirl:

Rob halford can do no wrong as far as I'm concerned, and how ever laughable the lyrics or ludicrous the guitar riffs, I still adore his every utterance him. The man is truly the Metal God! :luv2:

*sample lyrics from 'Loch Ness', sung in a faux Scots accent, complete with bagpipe sound-effects

"A beastly head of onyx
With eyes set coals of fire
It's leathered hide
Glides glistening
Ascends the heathered brrriarrrrrrrr
Woaarrrrrgh!!!"

:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

One of my all time favourite Priest songs; although possible for all the wrong reasons. #-o They really are Spinal Tap on that track, I want to see them do it live with a little Loch Ness monster lowered down behind Rob whilst he's screaming!

Yuck! Carrie Underwear would never outsell any bitch. She's the biggest bitch of them all, She sucks!

...Which explains why her album sold more copies than any album this past year.

HSM has sold more this year than Carrie. So has Rascal Flatts and Nickleback I believe.

Carrie's album was released in November of 2005 i think, so her big #1 debut and 1st X Mas shopping sales went into 2005 sales, as the physical album sales for 2006 she's behind, like 4 other artist.

Although, she's talented, her voice is all she offers. Other than standing there on a stage and doing nothing. She doesn't write her songs, she doesn't have a say in producing. She doesn't appeal to anybody outside the country data base.. I don't see her having a good sophmore CD.. I'm seeing more of a Clay Aiken story with her.

I'm terrified of Linkin Park's new CD. Hybrid Theory was amazing, but Meteora was crap.

But the best album of 2007 will be Kittie's "Funeral For Yesterday" which comes out in Feb.

^I'm exciteded fot LP's new disc!

I'm so envious at my friend, Joshua... he gets to go see Kelly Clarkson, Linkin park and My Chemical Romance at Bamboozle this year! I wish I lived in NJ! haha

I'll say Mariah sells the most.

I'm hoping Ozzy (or GnR or Velvet Revolver) has the best album though. At least for my money.

Norah Jones' "Not Too Late"

Drops January 30.
