Who Will Win The Premiership Title 2008-2009?

Arsenal were breathtakingly brilliant v Newcastle yesterday. It should have been a 6-0 result. Some of their play was just - apart from the finishing! - awesome.

Good point for Spurs today at Chelski. :D

Early days yet. And now a break for the World Cup qualifying games.
 
Can't let England's win in Zagreb last nite - they won 4-1 v Croatia - pass without mention.

First time Croatia have ever lost at home in a competitive international.

Arsenal 1 Hull 2. :=D::=D::=D: Shock of the season so far in the Premiership.

No shocks at ManUtd where the world famous Portuguese Diver was given a penalty so ludicrous that no one from the ManUtd management could bear to face the reporters after the match. !oops!

Rob Styles - the referee - will probably be taking a break, saying he wants to spend more time with his family. Rumours that he will be taking his family on a free diving holiday in Portugal are, as yet, unconfirmed. ;)

The Portsmouth v Spurs game is live on Sky tomorrow. The Horror Movie Channel have put in a late-night bid to show the highlights. ;)
 
Gah, I nearly fell off my chair when that second Hull goal went in, especially after the fiasco of the Ronaldo not-penalty.

Not sure if the commentary we got with the game here is the same as the one you guys got, but the former player co-commentating was absolutely livid about Rob Styles' decision. Normally the commentators say things like "he got that wrong" or "that was a puzzling decision" but this guy pretty much said "shittiest reffing decision ever."

So I'm 0 for 2 in results I was hoping for today. At least Ferrari managed pole in Singapore!

How can you describe yourself as "cool" when you support ManUtd? Surely a contradiction in terms!

If you say you support ManUtd, most real football supporters will assume you know nothing about football and you are decidedly "uncool".

Most ManUtd "supporters" don't have a clue where Manchester is, have never been to Old Trafford, and are just buying into the product they see on TV.

Get really cool Owen. Support your local team. Whoever they are.

I was a supporter of Man utd since i was a little kid ... but since from ur profile u r from london i understand why u hate Man Utd...... I watch every match for for my team in the past ten years i have thousands of goals stored on my PC , even if i didnt go to Old Trafford before but someday i will and that day will be one of the happiest days of life ........

You have to be really ignorant about football to support a team you have only seen on TV.

greaves is a Spurs supporter. Always has been; always will be.

If an adult in London says they are a ManUtd supporter...

Redknapp will turn Spurs season around. The Arsenal v Spurs game from midweek was a stunner.. one of the most entertaining games I have ever seen.

I was a bit disappointed Rovers only got a point from the game at WBA but given the circumstances i'll take it.

I think Man U will win it this season.
 
Am watching the Bolton v Liverpool game on Sky.

Rob Styles - the referee - has done everything he can to make sure Liverpool win this game. And they will.

I dunno why I'm coming in after Boro played like morons against Bolton, rather than before when we were on our 5 game unbeaten streak?

*sigh*

Oh well. 10th isn't too bad, so long as we're in the top half. After all, there are some tremendous teams around. Would love to see Boro get into Europe again though... I think we've got a lot to show in Europe, considering we've finished in the quarters and in the final in the two years we've been there... Beating teams like Roma, Lazio, Steaua Bucureşti on the way there...

Yesterday's result, however welcome, is frustrating.

Arsenal win one way or another over Chelsea and quite comfortably over Man U; but still manage lacklustre performances against Villa and Fulham as well as being outplayed by Man City and Spurs.

Lack of consistency is utterly soul-destroying to a fan. At least, it is to this one!
