But, I'm pretty sure if she had her head up Obama's ass like a lot of people here, you'd be all about her and wouldn't have made such idiotic and obviously bias remarks in this thread.

I have been watching The View since the second season which is before Elisabeth joined the panel. I watch regularly and my dislike of Elisabeth predates my knowledge of Obama's existence. I started disliking her because I found her to be anti-gay. None of my comments about her have been idiotic or biased. My comments are based on the fact that I watch every day and I have seen how Elisabeth behaves. Party affliation has nothing to do with me liking or disliking anyone, as I am not registered with either party. I am an independent voter and I will always vote for who I believe is the best. This past presidential election was the first one I voted in. When I started disliking Elisabeth, it had nothing to do with politics (as I didn't follow them) and everything to do with her personality and anti-gay sentiment.

As for the topic, that's pretty sad. It's sad when someone who has an opposing view is personally threatened or has personal attacks on her just because she doesn't jump on the bandwagon like a good chunk of Obama supporters.

To state that Elisabeth received death threats because she doesn't support Obama is unfounded and unfair. Nowhere in any article did Whoopi state that the death threats came from Obama supporters. Elisabeth has made rigid statements in regard to a lot of issues. The article gave no specifics about the nature of the death threats. Elisabeth has bashed many people over the years, has expressed anti-gay sentiment, and has supported people who some feel are affiliated with anti-semites/bigots, etc. There have been celebrities who have refused to go on the show due to her. Rosie expressed disdain for some of Elisabeth's opinions. Perhaps Elisabeth pissed off someone's fans. Even an episode of Law & Order had a character named "Elizabeth Hassenback" who was raped and killed. The possibilities of where the hate comes from are endless.

However, there's never been word about Elisabeth getting them before...and suddenly shes spoken out for McCain and against Obama, now she's got tons of death threats...you don't have to be a genius to piece the puzzle together.

Just because nothing has ever been reported about her getting death threats before doesn't mean they didn't occur. I'm a firm believer in not making assumptions and only forming views based on the facts. Whoopi mentioned something about Elisabeth and it was blown up in the press. Whoopi said Elisabeth gets "the most" so if we are to assume things, one can assume that the others are getting threats from the right wing because they support Obama. The fact is that we don't know the source of any of the threats. For all we know, an employee of The View could hate Elisabeth and be behind the threats. It's dangerous and irresponsible to assume something and then disparage others on that assumption.
