  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Who's got a star?

think I'll add. . .

Alfred Hitchcock
Clark Gable
Bette Davis
Bing Crosby
Rosemary Clooney
Tom Mix
Clayton Moore
Jay Silverheels
Buster Crabbe
Jack Palance
Edgar Buchanon
Lee Marvin
Barbara Hale
Raymond Burr
Alan Napier
Eartha Kitt
Vincent Price
Bela Lugosi
Lon Chaney & Lon Chaney, Jr.
Bruce Lee

Eartha Kitt is a maybe, black people weren't getting their flowers in her era. And Hitchcock? Do directors get stars?

Frank,
When I read "what I thought I read", it came out of nowhere because I felt you were on my side since Ive been on the forum.

Its unfortunate that there are guys who want to harrass others to make themselves feel better.

The Walk of Fame shouldnt exist if Hitchcock is not on the Walk.

They should have a 'Walk of Characters' for the greatest characters

Off Topic:

I saw Eartha Kitt walking on a Vancouver beach. She was walking along the grass section of a Vancouver beach

For the youngsters out there, they have to hear Eartha Kitt's iconic hit, "Where Is My Man?"

*Eartha was the third Catwoman in Batman, the t.v. show (after Julie Newmar (1st) and Lee Merriweather (2nd)

No one is harassing you. My original post was a joke. But if you read the OP it says no googling. You looked up your answer in your first post before you even posted. Therefore, you cheated.

There are a few Hitchcock movies that really are worth watching

Here is the movies ranked by Rotten Tomatoes https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/guide/alfred-hitchcock-movies-ranked/

Here is my shpeel of the movies Ive seen.

The first thing you should know is that Hitchcock has a cameo in every movie he made. In The Birds, he is a customer in the store. In Lifeboat, well how can he be in that movie about survivors of a sinking boat (dont answer the question. If they want to know, they can look it up)

Esquire ranks the movies . . .

Again, I havent seen every movie so I might overlook good movies like Sabotage or Frenzy

Lifeboat

Dial M for Murder (Starring Grace Kelly)

The Birds

Strangers on a Train.
- Two men agree to commit a murder for the other man

Veritgo
- Jimmy Stewart is obsessed with the stunning Kim Novak and let his fear of heights result in disaster

North by Northwest
- Another must see movie with Mount Rushmore in the backdrop

Psycho

Rear Window
- I wasnt so much into it. Jimmy Stewart believes he witnesses a murder across a courtyard

^^IIRC, Hitchcock didn't appear in real life in "Lifeboat". I think it was a newspaper ad
