Because that's something I never hear those with a problem with illegal immigration saying - certainly not a whisper was heard when times were good.

BTW, I fail to see how either Yahoo story is an attack against another race, and if you expect me to read the comments to find that racism, you're batshit insane; people that comment on these types of stories wouldn't say any of this in public, so they don't count.

There is very little courtesy with cellphones these days. They possess people. I've heard people yapping on a cellphone from half a block away. They don't care that they're imposing their one-sided phone call on everyone around them.

I read about this woman and watched a video. It also included a piece in which the young gay guy from American Idol (I forget his name) actually stopped in the middle of a concert song to tell someone in the audience to get off their phone.

Lol, why are you getting offensive? The thought that my statement was racist didn't even cross my mind. YOU were the one that brought it up. I do agree there is a double standard in this country, but what can we do about it? And the reason I mentioned I was black was because I wouldn't even get offended if a white person said this because I know what they meant. I don't think black people should get offended by my statement, and I really didn't expect anyone to get offended.

No, that wont solve anything. What I was getting at is that it's whites that are portrayed as racist the most in the media, while blacks are usually portrayed as ghetto. Both groups of people are being put at a disadvantage here. Bitching at each other isn't going to solve anything, because whites will still be portrayed as racist, and black as ghetto in the media. THAT'S WHAT'S SAD.
