Why are asian guys stereotyped as bottoms in the gay community?

How exactly are Asians considered 'bottoms' in the gay community? Are they only 'bottoms' when paired with someone of a different race? What if 2 Asians got together? And yes, Asian/Asian pairings are becoming very common, which is a good thing.

If you spend anytime in Asia, Asian/Asian pairings are the norm. Duh. Lots more tops there, some of whom have had the colossal effrontery to try to top ME. Huh. But yeah we are talking interracial here I realize.

TBH, most of the white men that I've slept with have been very disappointing... only good for being bareback bottom sluts. Just sayin' :D

As an Asian top, I have found that to be pretty much my experience as well. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Only Filipinos can be reliably slutty like white boys, just like Japanese and Koreans are more likely to be kinky. Jus' also sayin'.

I agree. I've never seen an Asian top in gay porn.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that the Asian men in porn are, um, bottoms to begin with? Maybe, just maybe, the studios have them doing what they want to do?

Or porn is a business and they show what will sell in the market? If Asians are expected to be bottoms, then they would produce and cater to that expectation or stereotype.

Or maybe no one picks members of pop boy-bands to be symbols of their culture's masculinity? I think you would get a pretty comedic reaction if you were to suggest among American men that the guys in American boy bands are masculine dudes.

Haha. Very true.
