Why Are Oriental Men's Balls And Cocks Darker Than Their Skin Color?

Re: Why Are Orential Men's Balls And Cocks Darker Than Their Skin Color?

oriental gays here make "oriental gay" parties, so i guess they don't have a problem with that term ;)
apart from that .. even "white" people often have darker cocks than their skin color ..

^ - sources? Meh, more bollocks!

The word is old fashioned, but only offensive to those easily offended.

Answers.com "Oriental Of or relating to the countries of the Orient or their peoples or cultures; eastern."

Quote from wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oriental

"Perceptions & Connotations

Although "Oriental" is generally considered a neutral term in the UK and other
parts of the Commonwealth, there is some disagreement as to whether the word
"Oriental" has come to possess negative connotations in North America. It's not difficult to find discussion groups on the net debating the connotations
from and perceptions implied by the term "Oriental". However, it is not
uncommon to find the term used on hundreds of thousands of government and
state websites and documents across in the USA. Only in Washington State, is
it illegal to use the word "Oriental" in legislative and government-related
documents. Prominent filipina commentator Michelle Malkin's official site uses the term repeatedly without predjudice or additional comment."

Because to some people, clumping together an entire people with each other withOUT knowing the big diff. between who'se Thai, Korean, Jap, or Filipino, would be offensive. The same way most people have no idea what's different between an Iraqi, a Pakistani, or an Afghan. Calling them Asian entails they came from the same place. Calling them Oriental entails a sense of mysticism which, to be honest, really isn't there.

Besides, you don't see alot of Asians calling Americans "Westerners" do you?

P.S. I don't find it offensive mind you, I just don't care either way.

Re: Why Are Orential Men's Balls And Cocks Darker Than Their Skin Color?

It has to do with the natural pigment Melanin that every individual's body produces. It may depend on how much your body will produce, it could either be hormonal or just a natural thing.

Moreover, it is dark on those areas such as the: nipples, armpits, elbows, inguinal areas for some, anus, and cocks/vagina because it is the only part in the body where a large concentration of the natural pigment is located.

And, no matter how dark it is or not, what's important is....it stands at attention when it wants attention or when it is given the right attention.*|*

Re: Why Are Orential Men's Balls And Cocks Darker Than Their Skin Color?

Regarding darker anal areas....does that mean the body also produces more melanin in those areas not exposed to the sun but which experience more friction? Nipples are different, I think because even in the case of newborns, their nipples are naturally darker already whereas their armpits and anal areas, for example are not. Incidentally, I have seen newborn boys with darker genitals than the rest of their skin colour.

Thanks for clarifying that, Autolycus. And incidentally, many English-speaking Southeast Asians do refer to white men as "westerners" though not in a derogatory sense. It simply arises because the average Asian (peeople who actually do live in Asia) have never had the chance to travel or are not sufficiently exposed to the different ethnic features, and cannot differentiate between a German, an Italian, an American or an Englishman. It's actually meant to be an "umbrella" term meant to be polite out of ignorance.

I agree,I tend to use westerner to describe myself when around asians. It is simply easier and more convenient.

:grrr: Yes, my country is crazy and does try to tell the rest of the world what to think and say. We're Americans, therefore we're always right.

](*,)

Okay, in America, a country with a long history of racial craziness and wordplay, "Oriental" is a no-no. It wasn't thirty years ago, but it is now - at least until some do-gooders decide otherwise. The preferred term is "Asian" - which means absolutely nothing. The problem is, in America "Asia" is largely represented by people of Oriental descent (Japan, Korea, China, Vietnam, Thailand, etc.). Therefore it works for us, and we don't see the big deal. However, Asia also means Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Mongolia, Russia, the Ukraine - people that look distinctly different from your average Chinese American. Since there aren't as many Caucasian Asians here, it never occurs to most politically correct Americans that our PC terms pose problems. They do. I have friends who are Pakistani - they hate the term "Asian" as it's used in the US because what it really means is Oriental. Whenever they see the term "Asian" it's a good bet it doesn't refer to them, even though they're Asian. (I can see the lightbulbs turning on above people's heads from here.) The fact is, "Asian" is just as racist a term as we think "Oriental" is. What if everyone always referred to "Europeans", or worse for the US, "North Americans"? "North Americans"? How could anyone possibly confuse us with the Guatamalans? (Central America really doesn't exist geographically, it's a political term). People should be referred to by their nationality/ethnicity unless you really are making broad statements - which in the case of most continents is hard to do. In those cases, using a narrower contextual word is OKAY - Southern Europeans, Scandinavians, West Asians, Orientals, etc. These terms are much more precise and descriptive. My fellow Americans, get over it.

Oh dear...Seattleboy, thanks for putting that straight but don't be too harsh on Americans. The same thing is true in Asia, too, but rather than hijack this thread with a long explanation, I'll go over to one of the other boards and post it there, come back and add the link for those who are interested. That way those who aren't, can just ignore it.

To return to this thread's original issue, I am darker but turn purplish red when erect. I once had a 21-yr old American BF who was golden blonde and flushed a beautiful rosy pink in all the right areas when he got frisky...Gaaawd...I loved watching him get excited....

I wouldn't yell at anyone for using the "wrong" term, but I'm also not entirely comfortable with the term "Asian," as it's used in the United States. I wouldn't have a problem with it if people used it to include all Asians, not just the ones with "Mongolian" traits. Asia, as a geographic entity, is something that can be defined objectively. When you lump together Chinese, Japanese, Koreans or whatever, it's an arbitrary grouping of people based on perceived similarities in physical traits.

In reality, people don't fit so neatly into clean racial compartments. Most of the "Asians" in the west are from southeastern China, Japan, Korea and Southeast Asia, and thus look "very different" from Indians and Europeans. But if you walked across China, Russia or Central Asia, you'd notice that people's customs, cultures, and physical appearances transition very gradually into each other. I don't think most Americans, Western Europeans, and Asians from far eastern Asia often think about the fact that the lines between "Oriental," "white" and "brown" are all muddled together and blend into each other over large geographic areas. If there were more Central Asians, western and northern Chinese people, Nepalese, Burmese, etc. in the West, I think people would have a slightly different notion of what "Asian" was.

And to those of you from outside the United States: "Americans" are not all white. There are plenty of Americans of all ethnic backgrounds, including Asians. I'm sure you already knew this, but in your terminology, some of you are implicitly equating "American" with "European American." I'm sure this usage comes from sloppiness or inattentiveness rather than ignorance or bad intentions. But in any case, I'll get off my PC high horse! :P

And back to the main point: I think scrotal and penis skin is slightly darker than the rest of the body for almost everybody. Your nutsack is wrinkly, giving it a darker appearance. Among light-skinned people of all ethnic backgrounds, I think the external genitalia can range in color from brownish to kind of pinkish.
