why are "some" people into eating poo?

Wasn't there a study about this that mentioned a connection between head trauma and poo eating? I don't know where I read it but it seemed to suggest some part of the brain where inhibition is controlled being damaged and then all hell kinda breaks loose. Some either become cold blooded killers or eat the insides of someone else's insides.
