That's $500 for two people? Not bad at all, really! What the hell, just getting a hotel room in Houston for a week will set you back more than that!

But, geez, seriously - you weren't able to find anybody to go with? If you're forced to pay for two people, doesn't that mean that (if push comes to shove) somebody could go with you for FREE?

Though you prefer to go alone - but it sounds like to me, if it's really a total of around $500 you're paying, you got off cheap. Even if instead that means you have to pay more like $1,000 - STILL it would cost you that much to stay at the Drury in San Antonio as we jubbers did. And that's just the hotel - not any of the food, etc.

Trust me, my trip to Hawai'i last September, price-wise, makes your cruise (even if $1,000 not $500) sound downright cheap.

They wouldn't be so expensive if you didn't spend so much on hookers and blow.

I was trying to figure out where to go on my birthday--how's Houston in early October?

Some of the best holidays I went on were the ones that were really cheap.

I don't think you gotta spend a whole heap of money to have a good vacation.

I feel really guilty now. Kidding.

We just finalized our arrangements for a trip to Morocco today. Sounds like a great tour with only 7-8 other people.

Includes a camel ride out to the desert and an overnight stay at an oasis.

Not cheap but well worth the experience.

That is how you need to start thinking of travel. It isn't just a vacation; it is an education and a life filling experience.

Honestly. $1000.00 for a cruise is about the best holiday value around. Just do it.

October 2nd--my birthday.

Because the vacation industry funnels everyone who wants a vacation to the same "exotic" vacation destinations where they can control all the costs. If you want to do it, you have no choice but to pay what they ask. There are very few discounts once you're in their clutches.

If you want an affordable vacation, invent something that doesn't involve going somewhere like Disney or some resort or whatever. Buy a tent and go camping. It can still be a little pricey but far cheaper.

Don't get bitten by Berber-monkeys.

My vacation last March cost around $3400. No doubt it was my first and probably is the last I'll have.

I looked into a cruise. A week for around $500. Not bad, but they make you buy for two people. I want to go alone, so I'll be charged double.

And I don't like flying.

I'll go with you Piggy!!! (*8*)

The single supplement is brutal for gay men who often travel alone. Also, a uniquely gay-oriented travel experience or excursion often comes at a premium.
