It's almost 4.00am and it's such a windy night that I just can't sleep.

And to answer the OP, I'm awake all night and asleep all day for about half of each and every month. The times that I sleep and wake move forward gradually by about an hour each day, and so complete a 24-hour cycle in about three weeks. Then the cycle starts again. And this cycle has existed for over a decade.

But I'll be off to sleep soon.

I just got home and its only 11PM on Sat Nite and I know I will be up a couple more hours at least. I'm just a night owl.

It is 11:24 PM EST. I am quite tired and will be going to bed in a few minutes. When I am up really late, it is usually because cannot sleep. This used to be an almost nightly occurrence, but now, as I have gotten older and my stress level has markedly decreased, I rarely have trouble falling asleep anymore.

the guy who covers our Friday night/Saturday morning overnight shift was in a car accident today he's ok, but he's too doped up on pain killers to work

It's 1:37 Newfoundland time, and I'm still awake because I have to head to the funeral home tomorrow. My good friend, who also happens to be my boss, passed away as a result of a car accident early Thursday morning!

It's good to hear that the guy you're referring to is ok!
