Why bottoming is considered unmasculine?

Hello

I read some about homosexuality in different history periods and in different cultures.

Homosexual relations were sometimes accepted (Ancient greece or Medieval Japan) but it was always in case of mature/young relationship where older man was top and younger passive/bottom.

However when relationship between two mature males occured, the bottom partner was not accepted by society , but top partner was OK. The rejection off bottom was related with his assumed lack of masculinity.

So why homosexulaity (particulary bottom role) is always considered as lack of masculinity? - it was in past and it is now.

Ok in heterosexual relations bottom role (receptive - vagina) is related with women.

However if you are man and you like to be fucked in ass, is it mean that you are less masculine? Unfortunately in our societies it means that you are not man. Like in prison; the last man in hierarchy is faggot who is forced to please higher rank men, and is threated scornfully and with cruelty - like shit, nothing.

All that society behaviour. Its weird for me .

I believe our minds are pre-constructed to believe certain things.

Its what we are used to seeing. Men and women. Masculine and feminine men.

And as you've stated yourself, in history it was about the dominance. If you look at Ancient Greek pottery, some of the Greek men would stand over a Persian man who was bending over to receive anal penetration. That's what we are used to seeing.

Pardon me, but can I know why do you imply that being feminine is a bad thing (by capitalizing the 'UNFORTUNATE')?

I agree, its like when a Woman is in command on top, does it make her Masculine? I don't think so. I think you can be just as, if not more, agressive as a top.
