  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Why can't cell phones have normal fucking ringtones???

Mine's rarely heard - it vibrates before it rings, and I pick it up as soon as it vibrates, so meh. Either way, if it ever does get around to ringing, it plays the Monty Python spam song.

I love Love Spit Love (?!), but I think the Smiths version is the best. Why? Because NOBODY can sell a line like "You leave on your own/you go home/you cry and you want to die" like Morrissey. Morrissey exists simply so he can sell self-pitying lines like that. :)

And come on folks - ringtones are there for three reasons:

1. So you know your phone is ringing.
2. So you can "display your individuality".
3. So people will look at you.

Pretty much anything works for 1. And judging by the "top ringtones" chart on Billboard (yes, there IS such a thing), everybody is using Super Mario Brothers.

And just to cut everyone off at the pass, what's my ringtone? None. I don't have a cell phone.

Why? well cuz its freakin 2007. If I can make it sound how I want it to, why not?

I think its fun to asign diferent songs/tones to each of ur contacts.

Because in today's world, everyone has to one up the next person with a better ringtone.

i totally agree. i've been looking for a normal bell sound for the longest time, and NOTHING. i'm forced to use this weird news-bulletin-y sort of ringer.

It looks like there's some software out there to help you make a ringtone from your own audio files. I guess it depends on what your phone is using.

There's others also if you google it.
