I have a dictionary that allows you to hover over a word and a pop up window shows the definition but on Chrome it doesn't work, anyone have any ideas why? I don't think there's any setting in the dictionary to address this, it's something to do with Chrome (I think).
thanks

^ Because GOOGLE wants to run the universe.......that's why.
The more proprietary shit they develop the easier it is them to spy on you too.
Create a google account and go ALL THE WAY through the privacy settings.

Do the same for MSN, YAHOO or anywhere else you have an account.......

and how again to extensions have to do anything with "proprietary shit"

no, but either you don't know what proprietary means or how the extensions work, or the licensing model of chrome. or all three of them.

their motives aside, that still doesn't make the chrome source proprietary.

This is getting off track but.......
You don't need an account with anyone.......tracking cookies take care of tracking you no matter where you go.
But if you DO create an account you can disable a lot of privacy settings.......which has nothing to do specifically with how Chrome handles add-ons.......but much to do with trying to protect what little privacy you have.
