They were, instead, too busy with the Monica Lewinsky bullshit.

Part of the difference, I feel, is that many of these people absolutely hate that a Black, not a White, guy is in the Oval Office.

You have so little (as in Nothing) to present as evidence or justification that you respond to a legitimate post by a personal insult about behaviour at a family member's death?

No one is laughing or mocking the death of four people at the Embassy and CIA headquarters.

What we are mocking is the rancid politicization of those four dead by the Republican party who, instead of attending to the business of the nation, are manufacturing this latest probe as a way of ginning up the base....getting their party faithful to open up their wallets for 2014 and are trying yet again to mount a pre-emptive strike against Hillary running for president in 2016.

Your outrage is as fake as the motivation behind this investigation.

Let's face it Jack, this is not getting press because of the number of dead, the cause, or the response. It is getting press because Ambassador Stevens was killed. What the hell was so important that he should have been outside Tripoli? He knew Benghazi was inhospitable; the Embassy had asked for increased security there. Stevens went rogue.

I asked in my original post for people not to make fun of the Americans who were killed in Benghazi.

If posters abided to the rules set forth then I would not have to ask a moderator to remove those posts. I do not see any moderator as a puppy ... the posters willingly and purposely did what they wanted to do and ignored my requests.

Benghazi is not a dead horse. Obama could have settled this long ago but he and his administration has refused to come clean and tell the real story. It's possible that there is nothing bad in Benghazi and the Administration is just acting arrogant -- which would be really stupid of them.

A far more significant threat to her potential candidacy is Americans’ desire for new leadership after eight years of the Obama administration. A Pew Research Center/USA Today poll found this week that 65 percent of Americans would “like to see a president who offers different policies and programs.” Only 30 percent said they wanted ones “similar to those of the Obama administration.”

The truth is Obama has spread himself too thin. Every day there are new initiatives. Example:

Of course, Republicans have missed this entirely.

ATM, the Republican agenda is to find an agenda.

Attacking Obamacare does not look like it is going to work for them. They need to find another tar baby. Fox News has decided to try Benghazi as that tar baby. But, the Benghazi select committee seems, to me, to be too obviously contrived to be effective as an argument against Democrats this fall. Nobody cares about it. In fact, there is a fair chance that Benghazi could hurt Republicans. I personally suspect it will, so I am pleased that they have proceeded with the Benghazi select committee.

Charles Krauthammer seems to think this, also. He is warning Republicans not to "turn the Benghazi select committee into a circus." However, since the entire reason for the existence of the select committee is to create a circus, there is absolutely no chance that Krauthammer's advice will be heeded.

The Koch brothers also seem to think the Benghazi select committee is a mistake. It looks like they are going to try to target the keystone pipeline as their "scandal" of choice. The Koch brothers probably care about that more than most people, since they have so much money tied up in oil companies. But, it is not the sort of thing that average Americans can really get excited about. I think the Koch brothers are driving down a dead end, as well.

I agree that the real problem for Democrats is Obama fatigue. But, the dearth of ideas on the Republican side about what to do about anything makes it difficult for them to capitalize on the fatigue. They need to offer some alternatives, not simply oppose anything and everything that the administration proposes.
