  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Why do Asian men have NO ass ?

It is you who are incorrect in this case. The lack of qualification does not indicate 'some'...the inference is clearly 'all'. Which is why the thread topic and hypothesis have struck many readers who understand the rules of written English, as a generalized and ridiculous assumption.

And again, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who is stupid enough to actually make an "all people blah blah" and literally infer that every single person of the said group blah blah.

And again, when normal people talk, they are referring to their own observation, which anyone, even an idiot, should know is a tiny portion of the population.

What you are doing is intellectually dishonest. Rather than argue with the position of the OP, which is pretty much an observation and there is nothing to argue with anyway, you nitpick his semantics, assume the worst interpretation of your nitpick, and argue a strawman.

To the untrained eyes, this would make you look smart. But to those of us who (1) always gives a person the benefit of a doubt, (2) be intellectually honest and assume the best in a person's statement not the worst, and (3) apply proper and appropriate context to the person's words, there is nothing impressive with what you are doing.

So, the next time someone says "why are people so rude on the roadway?" after they've driven in Chicago traffic and you start your fake outrage of interpreting that person to say every single living person on the planet are rude on the roadway and then proceed to say the person is racist, bigoted, blah blah against every person on the planet, I will call you out on it.

Edit.

By the way, you should also apply the benefit of a doubt even to actual racists and homophobes. Some of them are not idiots. As someone who tries to attend lectures by members of hate groups like the kkk and such, I can tell you that some of their arguments are pretty convincing to the untrained ears.

You are doomed to failure if you assume your opponent is an idiot. Many times I've seen this happen at evolution vs creation debates. I'm talking about the scientists on the evolution side. If you ever go to one of these debates, expect the likely "winner" to be the creationist even though their arguments are complete bogus.

And again, you would be hard pressed to find anyone who is stupid enough to actually make an "all people blah blah" and literally infer that every single person of the said group blah blah.

If you don't mean all people of that group and when a trait is not specific to that group, then it is absolutely pointless to say "Why do asian men have no ass?"

No, actually the OP is speaking in absolutes as if he is sure.

I realize that Asian men (the women also, no boobs too, well natural ones) have no ass! Why is this ? Do you think its in the rice ?

I am not concerned about their members (from what I understand is small also) just primarily the ass. I have seen some of the picture at where the try to create the illusion of an ass.

I am sure that there are guys out there that LOVE Asian men but they must NOT be an ass man.

His post has no basis outside of racist generalizations.

In fact, when we're talking about something as diverse as a group of people, only an idiot would go out of his way to use the word "all" or "no". And actually, only an idiot would ever assume "all" or "no" in the absence of one at the beginning of the statement.

It is naive to assume that just because someone doesn't use the word "all" they're not implying it.

Jesus Christ, stop being so squeamish about any topic related to race.

Take your own advice? You're the most flippant person in this thread.

The same reason you would say "why do Chicago drivers drive so aggressively?" after having driven in Chicago traffic. You and I both know that chances are not every single living driver in Chicago drives angrily.

You are intellectually dishonest if you believe this.

I reckon if someone doesnt like a particular sexual characteristic of a group of people, be it women or Asians or whatever, it doesnt mean that person doesnt like them as people. Theres no accounting for what sets off the hormones and theres nothing that can force someone to be aroused by a body type or even a race. As it is, I like the look of the Asian male and am attracted to him. On the other hand, an overly muscled butt does nothing for me. Im not sexually attracted to body builders, but Im sure theyre great people. Thats my thought for the day.

Asia:

](*,)

When people say Asian in reference to race, not geography, with practically no exceptions they mean the phenotypical features of East Asians.
I quit using "oriental" perhaps 30 years ago when I found that is was offensive, I switched to Asian, should one use "east Asian(s)?
serious question, btw.

How about south Asians over 1 billion.
And South East Asians like Thai, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Filipino ...etc
Do you call them Brown ?

Worse than that, they're talking about the twinky guys from a few countries along the northeastern part of the Pacific Rim.

What he should be asking is why, when Asians eat an American diet, do they look like this?

But when Anglos eat it, they look like this:

Question,
Why do East Asians skin color called yellow?
Obviously the color is NOT yellow like this below:

You are intellectually dishonest if you believe this.

Not at all. You are the one being intellectually dishonest by stating that the OP is not speaking for "all" just because they are not using that specific word.

There are plenty of words out there that can help explains someones proper position or thoughts on something. If one wants to be lazy and not use words to clarify they are not generalizing, it is the fault of their own when people read it that way.

Or it is because the OP actually meant all. You are defending racist generalizations. You are being willfully ignorant.

Well, you could lay the blame on people when they don't consider everything they say as part of a philosophical debate.

Or you could give them the benefit of the doubt and don't try to interpret their words in the worst light possible.

Remember when Obama said "they didn't build it"? I listened to the entire speech and it was obvious to me that he was talking about the infrastructure that businesses use to make a profit. The Indian guy who owns the 7-11 down the street from my house certainly didn't build the roads that lead to his business with his bare hands.

And yet, intellectually dishonest people tried to make it sound like Obama was saying business owners didn't build their own business.

You see why I have a problem with people who go out of their way to interpret people's words in the worst light possible?

If you still don't understand what I'm saying, then I have nothing else to say about this matter. Continue to interpret people's words in a way that make them look like idiots. That's your right.

Genuine question. Why is the word "oriental" offensive? I've heard people say they think this word is offensive, but no one has explained to me why.

Im not giving someone the benefit of the doubt when they made several racist generalizations. There is nothing to interperet wrong, he posted these as statements.

If one doesn't want to be viewed as an idiot, don't act like one. Being actually smart doesn't make one not an idiot when you willfully believe in generalizations to foster your own racism or prejudice. I would say this actually worse than someone who is actually ignorant or "dumb".

I have no idea why, after hearing "they don't like being called that" a few times I switched to Asian.

Oriental was considered an object and Asian women were horribly objectified....

When people say Asian in reference to race, not geography, with practically no exceptions they mean the phenotypical features of East Asians.

Except when you are in the UK where the term Asian only refers to people from the Indian subcontinent.

Do you call them Brown ?

I know quite a few Indians and Pakistani people that always refer to themselves as brown - its not unusual at all.

The old thing people use to say was a rug is oriental, not a person. Also, it is seen as very Eurocentric i.e. Asia is east, Europe is west.

Mainly it just others people, word 'oriental' does not describe ethnic origin, background or even race - you are just from somewhere east and no one cares.

the word Oriental is not offensive here.
There are shops call Oriental Grocers
