I mean, most gay guys like listening to girly shitty ass pop music. Shitty techno beats and souless, no talent whores dancing with no clothes on. God damn awful music.

I like techno, but yes, it seems like most of them are into the typical teeny bopper "diva" artists like Britney Spears, Rihanna, etc. and people can bash me all they want and claim that I'm a homophobe and whatnot but proof is in the pudding. Go to the Celebrities/Entertainment forum and have a look.

90% of the threads on music about Britney, Lady Gaga, etc.

and here is exhibit B

I will admit I like the Maroon 5 / Christina Aguielera song.

I am gay but I love all music, rock, country, metal, folk, blues, even pop (when they are actually talented like Journey or MJ).

But to listen to no talent whores pisses me off!

Ah, I forgot, to a moron, all gay guys are the same.

Right-o.

Since when the gays would have a lesser taste the music than the others? And then what the good taste? All this is very debatable dear friend;)

Yeah because gay people only exist in Western countries. Gays are practically a myth in Asia, Africa and South America where they have their own culture and shit pop divas to listen to.

Not that I really give a rat's ass... but what do you listen to that's so superior to everyone else ???

My gay gene makes me love this song:

I don't really know enough about Asia, Africa or South America to say myself. Wow! We're EVERYWHERE!

(Well, except India. There, we're practically a myth. Heyyyyy-OOOOOOO.)

But seriously...in America...gay music sucks a tumbling mountain of diarrhea.

If you don't like this then you have no taste in music.

Bitch, I dont wanna lose you tonight.

I mean gays outside of America? Come on, I mean, are there even people living outside of America? Shocking.

I almost agreed with you until you said "even pop (when they are actually talented like Journey or MJ)."

Journey? Really?

I'm no big fan of the Ga, and Madge makes me vibrate with hatred, techno gives me a headache and house/trance/whatever the hell you call that repetitive noise that you have to be stoned out of your gourd to enjoy... well, in a nutshell, me no likey.

But then, I'm sure there's plenty of music on my iPod that I love the hell out of and other people think is crap... I get a lot of shit for all the My Chemical Romance, friends and acquaintances are mystified by my abiding passion for Mika, and I get all kinds of crazy looks for my twenty-five track Carol Burnett album Let Me Entertain You. Throw in a collection of Old Broads Doing Cabaret (Barbra Cook, Bea Arthur, Elaine Stritch) and a goodly schmear of Baroque ariae written for castrati and sung by mezzo-soprani, and I stupefy the masses... shuffling from the waltz from Katchaturian's Masquerade to Janis Joplin's "Me and Bobby McGee" to Sutton Foster singing "Gimme, Gimme" from the B'way version of Thoroughly Modern Millie to "Love Will Keep Us Together" by Captain and Tenille, friends ask if it would be OK if we listened to the radio instead.

Musical taste is personal, and if you don't get someone's taste, that doesn't mean they don't have any. People who live in Journey houses shouldn't throw stones.

haven't at least casually browsed most JUB music threads, I feel comfortable saying two things...

a) the stereotype is based in reality, most gays have terrible taste in music
b) I'm a judgmental asshole :p

There are many, many flaws with this reasoning, but I'm too tired and intoxicated to point them out. Try again. :p

My taste in music is extremely varied and eclectic. And surprisingly, my love of men has nothing to do with this.

I listen exclusively to BABYMETAL
