Why do guys sniff their fingers after scratching down there?

Sorry if this belongs in a different thread or if it's been answered, and I don't mean to be gross, but this is a serious question. Why do guys sniff their fingers after scratching around their butt and balls? It is strangely erotic yet definitely raunchy. I'll be honest, I've done it for as long as I can remember, and more recently I ask myself why I do it. I'm definitely not into scat (eww!) but this is kinda on that border line of getting dirty. I obviously don't do this in public, but when I'm alone and have a scratch, sometimes I just have to sniff. Curious to know if there are other guys out there who sniff their fingers on occasion and if there's a reason why you do it.

It's a human and natural thing to do, and we're human. Dogs and cats have an easier time, because their holes are not covered and are open to being sniffed by any other animals who want to check them out. Ours are private, buried deep between our cheeks, and are available only to those we permit to have access.

Well I do scratch 'down there' as most guys do, but never recall that I sniffed my fingers afterwords... Never saw the reason for doing so... perhaps I may need to rethink it all..

Sorry, but crap smell isn't manly, friendly, or anything else. BIG turn off. I've never sniffed my fingers after a scratch, either.
 
I do sometimes. On the front because it's pleasant, and in the rear to check if I need to wash already :lol:
