Why Do People Really Hate The Jews ?

I'm was reading this link earlier and it seems that most of the reasons people give for hating them is bullshit and yet they've been persecuted for what seems forever.

Do you think people just need a scapegoat for the ill's of the world or their own failures and find an easy target with the jews, or indeed the gays ?

I believe what Avenue Q said. "Everyone's a Little Bit Racist." People can't accept the flaws in society do they often set out to find people to blame.

It always come to childhood up bringing and the teachings from books/written sources against jews.
A Bosnian friend is a jew hater, he don't like jews because of these reasons.

Of course, after so many centuries, and so many different haters, one can take his pick of reasons.

Babylonians, Medes, Romans, Italians, Russians, and on, and on, and on the list goes.

I'm sure the earliest enemies hated their monotheism. The Romans no doubt hated their pride and stubbornness (read, "tenacity").

The Europeans and Russians had pretty much been taught to hate them from early writings of those like Paul, even though he was one.

In modern times, it is easy to be offended by their separateness, their kosher laws, which inevitably come across as disdain for the Goyim. I have been a guest at a local synagogue multiple times, but have never felt really welcome. I'm not ready to assume that is in any way typical of Jewish congregations.

The gay couple I catered a wedding reception for a couple of years ago is a mixed household: my friend is a Chilean Jewish guy from Mexico City and he married a West Virginia Fundamentalist Christian. He is now the president of his synagogue as an out gay married man.

We have so many differences in style, in beliefs, and in diet too. But, we choose to be friends. Anyone, almost anyone, can.

I live in NY many of my high school and college best friends were Jewish---I wanted to be Jewish when I was in high school---they were the best ---smartest and coolest people at least in my school. Maybe it's where you grow up and exposure.

I do not hate the Jews at all I am just against the policites of Israel. They treat Palestinians as bad as the States have treated the Native Americans. Israel has Nuclear weapons and if you lok back through History the same 4 or 5 guys are always the Prime minister.

The city of York in Yorkshire is a place where Jews were persecuted in the middle ages.

BTW. Judaism has nothing really to do with Zionism.

As the whole historical moneylender thing has been dealt with as the origin of the hate, I want to hear more about this.

Are you serious in thinking that Cormac would convert to Judaism?
People here mostly talk the talk but won't fellow through.

They are hated because God said they would be hated. Because of their repeated disobedience and idolatry, He scattered them to all nations and lands and promised they would be hated and persecuted. Read the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy and lots of other passages. Yet God would retain them as a people with a national identity, promising to return them to their land, Israel. He has not forsaken the Jews, even though they have forsaken Him, but He will still redeem a remnant for His sake.

The Old Testament book of Hosea is really amazing. Hosea, the prophet, is a picture of God and his wife, Gomer, is a picture of unfaithful Israel. Gomer refused to give up her harlotry, even after marrying Hosea, and God repeatedly had Hosea take her back and love her. People may become unfaithful, but God is always faithful
