I stay away from protein bars because most of them do taste like ass. You couldn't catch me drinking a protein shake either.
I just eat nuts and trail mix instead.

I think many people here are confusing protein bars with energy bars. Most of the examples here are energy bars (meaning high carbs) that may happen to have some protein also. Even the Cliff Builder bars, which still have high carbs, with a bit more protein then regular Clifs. Protein does not provide energy. If it's protein you think you need, maybe to help build up your gay muscles, then you may want to rethink why you are eating an energy bar to get it.

I eat protein bar if Im completely lose my appetite and just wishing to get full, you know when you're too lazy to eat but your stomach is hungry? EAT bodybuilder's food! ..All bodybuilder foods basically tasted like crap but they do make you full really fast.
