Why do we like to wear skate shoes so much?

I have wide feet (kind of...my feet will never fit in a Nike shoe), and they're comfortable.

The closest I get to skate shoes are the Original Classic and Classic Slip-On by Vans.

The other brands mentioned above (D.C.'s, Etnies, etc.) make my feet look enormous, and I feel a bit like a poorly drawn cartoon character when I wear them. My boyfriend, on the other hand, wears them morning, noon and night.

At the end of my day, they're just not my style.

i guess i love skate shoes so much cause i used to skate as well (still do, sometimes) and i can feel like a teenager again i am happy about being more mature, but there's a boy in every man, right??
