Why does no one else wear pyjamas

I have many pajamas - some are silk, and the rest are cotton or rayon. I can go into my front yard wearing them without a worry. Some of them are more like lounge clothes, and I wear them most of the time I am in the house. I get dressed to go out, but I wear lounge wear at home - or else shorts. I do have some flannel winter pajamas, but they're in storage right now, waiting for cooler weather.

Sorry, I sleep in the nude. Pyjamas just get all tangled up on me when I roll over and that wakes me up. :grrr:

I like to feel my skin against the sheets and dream waking up in New Zealand instead. ;)

Here's a picture of Riverrick jumping into bed Jubbers ....

I sleep in my boxers or boxer briefs. If it's cold, I'll wear a T-shirt. I like to feel the sheets (bamboo cotton, mmm).

An ex liked to sleep nude and preferred that I do so, too. I was fine with it and loved to snuggle, but I really missed my boxers. It was just too much friction below the waste.

Same thing goes for wearing sweatpants. they tend to twist and ride up my legs, and I get too hot with them on anyway.

Haven't wore anything to bed since my feshmen year in college. can't imagine wearing anything to bed.

Just love the sheets on the body, not to mention flesh on flesh. :D

i dunno don't they seem so old to you? i always see in TV shows or movies the seniors are wearing PJs usually a matching set too. sry, if i offended any of the olderish crowd, but they seem out of date.

I think jammies can be cute/hot, but I personally haven't worn any since I was 5 or 6 and was dressed by the 'rents, not myself. Those were the good ole' days!

Actually, they weren't. As I recall, my childhood was just as confusing and depressing as my later days, if not worse because I hadn't figured out why I was saw things so differently.

Pajamas (random: what an incredibly strange word) can be really really cute, but I don't wear them. I wear just boxers to bed, and even then they twist and bother me sometimes. I've tried wearing shirts and sweats on cold nights, but it just doesn't work for me.

Looking at some of these though, I might get a pair to wear around the house. Of course, I'm not trying to impress anyone, but at least I'll have some in case of some horribly dire need ;)

(random: what an incredibly strange word)

From Online Etymology Dictionary:

pajamas1800, pai jamahs "loose trousers tied at the waist," worn by Muslims in India and adopted by Europeans there, especially for nightwear, from Hindi pajama, probably from Pers. paejamah, lit. "leg clothing," from pae "leg" (from PIE *ped- "foot," see foot) + jamah "clothing." Modern spelling (U.S.) is from 1845. British spelling tends toward pyjamas.

Hehe, the word makes total sense, its just one of those random moments when you say the word out loud and realize how ridiculous it sounds. Kind of like when you write down a word and think "theres 's no way in hell I spelled that right", and then when you look it up and it is right... its just plain odd.

Then again, I'm probably the only one who has those experiences...

You're not the only one. I think we've all felt frustrated after writing "conscience"

I've never been bothered by my pajamas twisting or tangling... and I have seizures in my sleep.

Mine have penguins on them:

"Pink pajamas, penguins on the bottom. Pink pajamas, penguins on the bottom..." The joke lyric chant from 'Circle of Life' as it starts 'The Lion King'.

*ahem*

Nevermind.

Anyhoo, I sleep in pajama pants, just 'cause they're comfy to me, and it keeps the sheets cleaner longer 'cause your legs aren't sweating all over the sheets....

Go to sleep with OCD, wake up with it again... what can I say ? ;)

I don't wear pyjamas, but I wear sweats to bed and socks! I look like an Eskimo before bed, but I can't help it. If I don't wear socks, a sweater/ t-shirt, I wake up with a stuffy nose every time ! It's brutal. Even in the summer I have to wear socks to bed.

Jag, here are my blue pj's
