Why Don't You Start A Thread ?

This is in response to various posts over the last few days highlighting the lack of threads without any real substance, some like the throw away frivolous nature of some of the threads and willingly participate, others growl and moan from the sidelines.

My response to them is if you don't like what's on offer post threads that interest you.

What stops you from posting threads ?

The threads I've started have usually met a quick demise.

Well ... there are a few that keep popping UP, from time to time.

I started one or two a while ago and they were both relatively successful, but I still think JUB is a sinking ship and I don't think any threads I can create would do anything to change that.

The front page of Hot Topics depresses me more than it inspires me to create discussion.

I have started threads (my latest about cereal killers) although I've never complained about the lack of threads "without any real substance". But I do find it weird that people would complain about such, as there is a plethora of threads without any substance all over this site. There is surely NO lack thereof. Just as there is no lack of threads WITH substance (granted there isn't exactly an overabundance, but we are not lacking them either).
