dude, that's one thing that annoys with talking to a lot of other gay men. they will look at whether you're dating material or fuckable before they even have a simple convo with you and you're not even trying to take it there with them in the first place. it's sad.

I disagree, a great sex life is good in to have in great relationship, (if that's what you're after) and two tops or two bottoms would find it a little harder to (probably not impossible) to get a sexual chemistry together.

Well, and I mean this without malice aforethought, we HAVE more or less discerned that a lot of the "rules" when it comes to dating and interpersonal relationships don't work for you, right? :) And for the record, I don't think I'd have to go to bed with a guy immediately, either. But if we're both interested, there's no real reason to hold off.

I think it's a combination of things, the fact that we are men, the fact that a lot of single men like to sleep around and it also depends on where you meet the guys. Gay clubs aren't good places if you want to have a relationship, same thing for websites like Gaydar or Manhunt.

But it IS possible to meet guys who want more than sex, believe me. I've been in 2 serious relationships so far (4 years and 2 years) and have also met a lot of guys who wanted to get to know me instead of having sex.
 
Men are mostly concerned with their bodily functions such as eating, sleeping, sex and bathroom duties. And secondarily, what they must do in order to get those needs met. And it pretty much stops there for men.
