  • Hi Guest - Did you know?

Why I am killing myself: Physics

remind NEVER to go into any buildings you design.

Sheer load and force are physics,
roof loads are physics
cantilevers are physics
everything in building a damn building is physics...

no duh...i'm kidding.....relax....

I hate my current physics professor. I am really tempted to say some awful things to him once the semester is over. I am well aware that he is gay (go gaydar). But he is some short, pathetic 40-something and I think he is a bit jealous of me. It would take a fly on the wall during class to understand it.

I knew I should have took chemistry for my lab science. It was my better science also. Oh well. 1 more week of classes and then im done :).

as for the OP killing themselves.

Before you do so please solve the following problem.

Assume that a suicidal person intends to kill themselves In St Louis Missouri outside their house at 4pm on Thanksgiving day, using semi automatic magnum handgun in a .45 caliber. Assume the bullet carries a 235 grain load of gunpowder 'X' which has an unencumbered expansion rate of 7,000 ft/s. Furthermore assume the suicidal individual has 2" of the barrel in their mouth which is aimed directly through the center of the neo-cortex. Said individual has a head circumference of 21-3/4" and is sitting 5 feet from the east facing wall of the house that runs exactly north south, while facing at a 195 degree azimuth.

Using this information draw a to-scale picture of the 'overspray' the emergency crew is likely to find on the wall upon their arrival.
I'm not one for drawings...

Mind if I try it??

I'm SO glad I finished physics last year. But it was hell! I really, really loved physics in high school, but once I started taking it in college, I absolutely HATED it with a passion!
